Well it looks like a piece of the metagame puzzle has revealed itself finally with WUR. I want to discuss what creature you think would be best in these decks.
In my personal WUR deck i have been running Yosei and Shard Phoenix with good results, let us know what you think and why.
hmm, i also had a 5th option which was a combination of the above 4, but it didn't show up |

it would be better if we had a deck list, since you could be just splashing red making the shard pheonix less useful than yosei/meloku
personally i would say meloku or firemane, but again it depends on the deck |

Firemane Angel - isnt she the point of making a WUR deck? to stall long enough to use the recusion ability?
i still think the others are good, and probably better in some situations(shes not doing much against a dragon) but that recusion ability is really what the WUR decks are all about, wining in the long run.
PS, my fav in the card though is Meloku, hands down wins games |

| I've been testing with 2 Firemane/2 Meloku and an occasional Blinking Spirit. I think Firemane and Meloku are simply amazing. Since URW wants a long time it often has lots of land to bounce to Meloku and Firemane is a recursive threat that keeps coming back. Spirit is better in an aggro-heavy meta where it can chump and dodge any removal. I've shied away from Shard simply because it's return to hand ability is RRR which sometimes can be difficult to pull off, especially if you want to recurse it turn 7-8. |

Firemane is the best creature in the deck hands down as it has so much synergy with the deck.
I think shard phoneix is the second best creature in the deck over meloku again due to its recursion. Ive used the card in this deck right form the beggining and hes really awsome. There is no way I would take him out. |

| Yea Meloku is good, but i didn't choose him because running Wrath and Meloku is kind of counter productive, while with Yosei you can atleast stall your opponent out for a bit. |

| The answer is definitely a combination of creatures. Something like 2 Angel, 2 Meloku, 1 Phoenix, 1 Blinking Spirit. Meloku is clearly the strongest, but the others are difficult to deal with, and when you're running so few win conditions, they need to be durable. |

| u obv run both meloku and firemain angel. meloku is one of the best creatures to see print, ever! but he does require an untap phase. the angel allows u to have a 6 drop, discard fodder and recursion. pending on the metagame id run 4 angle, 2 meloku.its never a bad thing to have an angel out so u probly want it out asap, while meloku is more of a late game ender. u dont wanna drop it turn 5 to cross ur fingers and hope it dosnt die. |

You guys seem to like firemane angel because of its recurrence, but that is a very expensive recurrence. 6cc to play it from your hand and 10cc to revive it. Probably leaving you tapped out both times, you don't have a problem with that?
It leaves a vital space of time for a deck your playing aggainst to play the card/cards it needs to win, is it worth it for the 4/3 angel?
Personally I think Yosei is a better choice, because even if you tap out to play it, it is a big problem card for your opponent if they choose not to kill it, or if they do leaving you more time to setup a different kill condition.
Here also is a list for WUR that some asked for.

| Personally i can't understand how ppl would like to run Meloku ... Firemane is by far the main guy you'd want, strong and recurrable ... Meloku on the other hand isn't that great, especially with all the popular Global kill thats out there, Wildfire, Wrath of god(don't forget you have your own -.-), Evacs ... they're there and it ends up hurting u, i tried meloku once, hit UR wildfire and got hit with a eot quicken/wildfire ... I dam near wanted to cry |

| in the first place the deck needs 4 wrath not 3 andromedea now concerning the topic the best combination of cretures in wur is 3 meloku 2 firemane.the meloku is there because he is simply the best creature in t2 right now the angel is there because of its recusrsive ability but also for the life gain aspect when you start recuring the angel from the graveyard yes you will be tapped out most of the times but youre opp wont have much to do if you are plying correctly. |

firemane is a 3 toughness and dies to hammer helix and char, its the hardest win condition to protect since there are so many cards that will one-shot it. It also doesn't stabilize you, yosei CAN stabilize you, but its alot harder, whereas meloku wins you the game after you resolve it anyone who has played with meloku knows this.
and @blkaznguy4 if you've played with meloku and dont understand why its good, you should probably make sure your playing the game the right way too. |
