I looked at this combo and said to myself. This needs to be exploited ASAP. Very simple, have Aluren and Curio out, play any 3cc or less creature from your hand for free, then play another and bounce the first back to hand. Creating a cycle. Now use 3cc or less creatures with a "CIP" effect, and things get interesting. I have NEVER made a T1 deck before so bare with me as this is my first attempt. Heres what I got so far:

2 City of Brass
1 Barbarian Ring
1 Strip Mine
4 Wasteland
4 Bazaar of Baghdad
4 Taiga
4 Wooded Foothills
1 Mox Sapphire
1 Mox Ruby
1 Mox Pearl
1 Mox Jet
1 Mox Emerald
1 Black Lotus
4 Squee, Goblin Nabob
2 Weird Harvest
2 Fireball
3 Wall of Blossoms
3 Ghitu Slinger
3 Imperial Recruiter
2 Dosan the Falling Leaf
3 Quirion Sentinal
3 Crucible of Worlds
1 Brain Freeze
4 Aluren
4 Cloudstone Curio

Wall of Blossoms: Lets you cycle thru your entire deck into your hand

Ghitu Slinger: Instant Kill

Imperial Recruiter: Lets me search for ANY creature in the deck

Dosan the Falling Leaf: Allows me to run the combo with out worry of it being interupted by counter control or een there creatures comming in

Quirion Sentinal: Infinate mana (for fireball or Weird Harvest)

Kills
Ghitu Slinger: one of these and one of any other creature and its damage to the face

Fireball: Quirion gives me infinate mana: thats one big fireball

Brain Freeze: Since each creature comming in counts as a spell being played, ill run creatures a bunch of times and cast that and deck the oppenent

WHat i mostly need help on is land choices and balance. It seems my only problem will be getting to the Curio and Aluren. Cause once out its mostly "gg".

Have at it folks ttyl

OH and BTW I dont know what the meta is for T1 so i ommited a SB till i figured it out. Help here would be great too.

The problem with Curio in Aluren is that Cavern Harpy already does everything.

The problem with your win condition is that it sucks. It's a four-mana and three mana investment, both at sorcery speed, that require you to run horrible, horrible creatures along with it that do nothing outside of the combo.

You have nothing to suppliment Bazaar outside of Squee. Your manabase is generally muddled and confused. Why are you playing four fetches for four cards? The fact that you're including five strip effects is abysmal. The focus of the deck is unclear. Are you trying to slow them down or speed yourself up? You're ill-equipped to play like the Legacy Aluren builds, as you play no counterspells or disruption and you're playing too many creatures and win conditions.

If you really wanted to play Curio, you could probably play something like Kobolds or Cloud of Faeries to generate infinite storm for essentially free. This is not the way to go.

If you want to play this deck because u like it and it's fun, you can still improve it alot. I'm sure other people know more than i do about manabases, sideboards, metagames, and "focus," but I sure can tell you you're running too many win conditions and not even support. Wall of Blossoms is gg, as it draws whatevers kills you run. 1 Brain Freeze is a good idea in case damage won't kill an opponent. Besides that, you'll want 1 damage-dealing kill, and 1 or 2 cards for dealing with something (Ivory Mask, etc.) that can prevent you from killing them in either way - possibly Stern Proctor. Apart from that, you'll probably need some countermagic/hand destruction/anything to keep you alive.

If, however, you want to play this deck because you want to win, don't. Aluren and Curio just don't belong together. Cavern Harpy is better with Aluren than Curio is, and Cloud of Faeries/Ornithopter is better with Curio than Aluren is.
