download free version?

The free version is enough for Magic League - you can build decks and play games. To be honest, I'm not even sure what the full version adds.

Basically, the only important things in the full version are: You can choose an avatar picture, you can play any decks in solo mode rather than only mirror match, and the popup box that shows up when you startup MWS disappears, as well as all of their ads.

Here's another site: http://mws.mtgbr.com/Full-01.htm

The good news: It has pretty much every set available.

The bad news: Each set is an individual download.

Yes, I'm quoting myself...

That really should have everything you need. I'd write up a guide, except that there already are some, so it would be redundant.

It would also help if you were more specific. What exactly are you having problems with?

Well I'm new here too. I have everything installed, made a quick deck, and played a game against myself. I asked around in the IRC and read through a chunk of the forums. I just can't figure out how the game works. Like there doesn't seem to be rules when I'm playing (I played like infinity billion lands in one turn) and I hear about people buying cards? Am I dumb and overlooking something?

Also, sorry if I'm hijacking this thread. It's over 2 weeks old and I don't see the need to make a new one. Thanks.

I don't know about the card buy question, but the other one is pretty easy. There are rules, just not built in to MWS. Technically you could play "infinity billion" lands in one turn in paper Magic too, just like you can put a creature into play without paying for it, or play a sorcery on your opponent's turn. Just like in paper Magic you can do it, but it's not legal. So just keep in mind that the rules aren't built in, and play like you would normally play. Smile

Hope this helped, let me know if you need anything else.
