Poison slivers wasn't weak because of a bad mana base. It was weak because it was weak.
Here are the good slivers:
Gemhide Sliver
Sinew Sliver
Darkheart Sliver
Cautery Sliver
Harmonic Sliver
Firewake Sliver
Frenetic Sliver
Necrotic Sliver
Sedge Sliver
Plague Sliver (not in a sliver deck)
Telekinetic Sliver
Bonesplitter Sliver
Watcher Sliver
Pulmonic Sliver
Might Sliver
Psionic Sliver
Fury Sliver
Mirror Entity
Taurean Mauler
War-Spike Changeling
Chameleon Colossus
And then I mean "good". |

meh. i was dumb enough to try this deck in a block ptq last year, and, even when played perfectly, it just rolls over to anyone that knows what it's trying to do and has disruption.
and, for the record, the mana base that the block deck used was fine. i cant remember ever loosing a game to color screw actually. |

It was quite obvious to me what it was trying to do. First game it just looked like a terrible pile and I won. Second game I killed the wrong creature and he got to swarm and won in one attack with Liege. I don't remember if we played the 3rd game, but I know that if we did, he wouldn't get to swarm.
I seriously doubt that any good player would allow that deck to do what it is designed to do twice! |
