| Yeah, lark seems a little... good right now. I mean, 2 in the top 8 of PT hollywood, and 8 were at day 2... |

| Oh yeah, and red deck is really good... my friend took it randomly to star-city's FNM, and he won... he only lost 1 game. |

Faeries beat Lark, and Lark beats the decks that beats Faeries. But few of the other decks can beat both of them.
Maybe merfolk? |

Regionals (american) is in June? I cannot play rl until August, so here is the deck I have been tinkering with recently:
// Deck file for Magic Workstation (http://www.magicworkstation.com)
// Lands
2 [PLC] Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth
2 [SHM] Reflecting Pool
4 [LRW] Secluded Glen
2 [10E] Underground River
4 [SHM] Sunken Ruins
8 [10E] Island (2)
2 [SHM] Swamp (4)
// Creatures
2 [SHM] Glen Elendra Liege
1 [LRW] Wydwen, the Biting Gale
3 [LRW] Shriekmaw
2 [FUT] Venser, Shaper Savant
4 [TSB] Shadowmage Infiltrator
3 [SHM] Sygg, River Cutthroat
// Spells
4 [MOR] Bitterblossom
3 [LRW] Cryptic Command
4 [CS] Rune Snag
4 [LRW] Nameless Inversion
2 [LRW] Profane Command
4 [TSP] Ancestral Vision
// Sideboard
SB: 3 [10E] Flashfreeze
SB: 3 [10E] Deathmark
SB: 3 [10E] Bottle Gnomes
SB: 3 [LRW] Sower of Temptation
SB: 3 [10E] Boomerang
It doesn't have a fantastic game vs Faeries, but the faerie-hate played in other decks doesn't work well against it, which is an advantage. It is better vs red than faeries. UB cannot deal with Bitterblossom, so that is why boomerang is in sb - I am testing it to see if it helps. The deck often win by bleeding the opponent dry off card advantage, before it drops a Liege to take the initiative.
If people want to test it and try it, they are free to do so. |

| wow now I'm concidering playing the fae. If everone is going to set them selves up and play revilarch just make it easy for the little flyers to run your ass's out of town, I'm pretty sure playing fae is good since people are so in love with QnT which only has a 50/50 match so it depends of skill(and I dont have Wafo-Tapa at my area) and revilark. |

I mean its a choice between fae, swath combo, and faeries... i have cards for all with plenty of side options but because everyone has the (i have a good match up against faeries.dec) that would prob be a bad option... now merfolk had a strong match up against alot of decks and so does swath combo but i dont run dragonstorm (my version is stright combo with pryo swath, Empty the warrens, and ignite memories in the main) with plenty of side options to replace dead cards for game two (because most my game ones are wins) heres the Deck list please tell me your input
MainDeck (60)
Spells
4 Rift Bolt
4 Grapeshot
4 Rite of Flame
4 Pyromancer's Swath
4 Lotus Bloom
4 Shock
4 Manamorphose
4 Tarfire
3 Empty the Warrens
3 Ignite Memories
Lands
10 Mountain
4 Fungal Reaches
4 Spinerock Knoll
4 Molten Slagheap
Side:
1 Empty the Warrens
4 Sulfurous Blast
3 Smash to Smithereens
3 Martyr of Ashes
4 Dragon's Claw
the side could be different reply with your thoughts on a side (or changes to main) for the current post PT hollywood meta |

I was thinking that tempo deck would be a solid call. Turn one Tarfire. Turn two 'Goyf (3/4 if it hits an elf). Turn three Tauren Mauler or Crusher. Use Ponder or Mystic Speculation to put excess lands on top. Obv Mystic Speculation is def better with Crusher but Ponder is better in general. Card drawing or filtering some great beaters and a bit of disruption or burn. Should be a solid call. (Thoughtsieze/Stupor/Acid-Moss/Rune Snag/etc...) (Flame Jav/Rift Bolt)
It's a shame that we don't have Artifact Lands in standard. Hey there is a Creature Land enter Dryad Arbor.
It's got to be almost as fast as the best aggro decks (Merfolk/RDW) and be faster then the combo decks (Swath/Lark/Swans). Also you need beaters that say you win if not answered vs the control decks. ('Goyf/Crusher/Mauler)
I have no real concept of a list but I think if you can combine really good beaters and disruption you could go all the way. |

| i agree with ninja that mono red shamans is very under the radar and well i dont see it really get much play but its a house trust me on that. it can go crazy and well the down side is merfolk after board with all the red hate they have is very hard but i think it can be won. if anyone wants a list just let me know or go to the blog from hollywood |

after playing with elemental shamans for months, I have learned that red burn is a lot bigger threat to the deck than anything else.
that is perhaps because I build up to a big 3/4 turn where I deal 10 + damage. Pyroclasm sweeping the board just before I drop Rage Forger sets me back 2-3 turns
The deck listed on this thread is more resilient to that, but not as crazy as mine when it "goes off".
So I think that the biggest problem with Rage Forger.dec is that it is really hard to pick oneself up if the curve topping out with a Rage Forger pumping and pinging 3+ shamans, are:
A. Not good enough to win. This happens against Martyr of Sands and opposing biggies like Tarmogoyf, Doran, Wren's Run Vanquisher, Countryside Crusher, Wilf-Leaf Cavaliers etc
B. Disrupted. This happens with cards like Pyroclasm/Firespout and a mana-accelerated Wrath. Even a Tarfire and a Mogg Fanatic may be enough to gut you. A countered Rage Forger is also a huge setback. |

RDW (Burn), there's a lot of RDW (creature) running about, but they just get trapped by fae players who will just leave mana open every turn to counter until they can drop both a bitterblossom and mana open.
With burn you drop mogg and keldon ASAP, before they either have the mana to counter or draw a counter (just got to hope with that one). Then you play around the counters and spells.
Only deck I have a slight fear of is wizards, they drop a teferi and I've lost, can't play around thouse counters. Merfolk is also a pain, but side in vexing, sulfurours blast and torments, and you may have a chance (at the expence of being able to actually hit them). |

| see rdw is all about the build and i had the aggro rdw before i went to shamans. the thing with rage forger.dec is that if u have a myrta and u see there board getting big just hold back a turn or 2 and use him to sweep the board for like 4 or 5 trust me it works |

| You should play Merfolk. Make sure your sideboard has some mixture of Blink (anti-removal protect your lords) Sunlance, Disenchant, Wispemare, Wheen of Sun and Moon, Dragon's Claw, Pithing Needle. |
