For RDW, or some type of R/G aggro deck, which card do you think is the better option? (for sideboard)
Vexing Shusher:
Repeatability
2/2 body (can be an advantage or a disadvantage)
Can't completely shut down Cryptic Command
Guttural Response:
Element of surprise
Not necessarily limited to countering counterspells
Can't stop Spellstutter Sprite
I'm leaning towards Guttural Response, but since Faeries seems to be a popular deck, it is important to get around the Spellstutter Sprites. So help me out! |

I have to say that depends. I would go for Vexing Shusher against Faeries for 2 reasons:
1º It can't be countered and allows your other spells to be uncounterable as well, which is one of the reasons Faeries are so good.
2º It forces your oponent to use a removal spell, like Terror, on it, leaving space for your bigger uncountered creatures to move around. |

I'd vote shusher. Guttural response does nothing vs spellstutter sprite. Also, it's a 2/2 for 2 mana. You probably won't attack with it because they might play an instant creature to block. But that's not bad because you probably don't need to attack with it and just having it in play puts blue mage on the defensive.
So overall, shusher is more flexible than guttural response. 2 mana isn't expensive at all. |

there is a reason why seal of fire is better than shock, surprise isn't everything |

In case any of you missed the pro-tour, Cryptic Command is some good right now...
Response ftw. |

I'm not really worried about the cost, however, the flexibility is a good point. The main debate I have been having is that Guttural Response shuts down Cryptic Command completely, while Shusher shuts down Spellstutter Sprite and Guttural Response does not. It seems as though the same debate is going on here. |

| Also keep in mind gutteral response shuts down Careful Consideration, played in that new 5 C deck. |

Careful Consideration is played in Reveillark as well, even tho only in 2 copies. I'm seriously considering playing Plagarize in sb just for those matchups... *evil grin*
anyway back to topic
I'd suggest Vexing Shusher because you said you were playing RG aggro. Shusher is beats ie. extra pressure, Guttural Response is not. Heck Guttural Response isn't even a burn spell. I feel that playing Guttural Response means that the player is being too reactive for a deck that does not aim to be reactive. |

| ya man i can just see you casting plagerize now, they just make you draw your deck with mulldrifter instead and kill u. shusher is better sometimes and response is good vs the new 5 colour deck but it rly depends on what your trying to do, you usually dont want to sit on untapped mana to response something |
