Problems with connection

Hi, i will really apreciate any help here. I just got a new laptop and downloaded both MWS and MOL. My problem is that i cannot conect to play with either of those. The message in MWS is: Could not connect; and in MOL: ErrorL0015: Magic online was unable to make a connection with the server.

My computer came with Linux and it was erased and then windows was installed. I use ralink to connect to internet, maybe the connections problems are because of that? Me not been really skill on computers am having headaches with this connections stuff
