|
| I was playing in a casual game the other day and had nacatl war-pride in play and attached to that was banshee's blade with 5 counters on it making nacatl war-pride an 8/8. Nacatl war-pride says that when you attack with nacatl war-pride put into play a token that is a copy of nacatl war-pride for each creature that your oppenent has. When the token comes into play would it also have the the 5 counters on it from the banshee's blade since the original nacatl war-pride is an 8/8 now as well? |

| No, copy effects only copy what is printed on the card. You'll get a 3/3 without any counters and/or any other pump effects. |

| Thank you for that info. My fiancee who I was playing with nearly beat me to death because she thought it wasn't fair but since neither of us knew if it was right or not we let it go and I won. Now I got to admit she was right and tell her she actually won. |

| Somewhat similarily: I play Duplicant and choose a 6/6 Dauntless Dourbark as my target. What will be my Duplicant's power and toughness? |

Duplicant constantly checks the P/T of the imprinted card, so it'll have the same P/T as Dauntless Dourbark, i.e. the amount of Forests and Treefolk you control.
Note that it will also be a Treefolk Warrior, so it boosts itself and is a minimum 1/1. |

| Duplicant will have the P/T of whatever it removed at the time it was removed. It does NOT copy abilities. |

you are correct i dont know why other people are saying different things, duplicant does not copy the text of a card and a * on a card will be represented as 0. |

Y'all are stupid.
* is represented as a number in ALL ZONES.
Whatever its power/toughness would be in play, it is EVERYWHERE else.
This is the same reason that you can't return a Tarmogoyf from the graveyard to play using Reveillark. Check your facts before flaunting them. |

The fiancee/wife/girlfriend always wins. One way or another they always win. |

Sorry, but I have to interject here. I do find you guys to be lucky bastards... That would be a dream girl in my opinion. I have always wished for a girlfriend that would enjoy this game with me... |

It doesn't always have to be MTG. I taught my wife how to play but she doesn't like it. Says she doesn't get all the timing issues, story lines, etc. I taught her how to play WoW TCG and she loves it. Go figure.
The game/competition doesn't matter. Just that if you're playing against your female half you better lose if you know what's good for you. |
