Are tokens "put into play" and not "comes int

I've got Prison Term attached to his Birds and he used Garruk's ability to create a token. I attached the Prison Term to the Token and he keeps saying that a token does not "comes into play", it's "put into play".

Player Lost.

batibot23 you where right, the tokens do comes into play.

just look at the old saprolling burst / pandemonium combo.
pandemonium says "when a creature comes into play" and saprolling burst says "put a token into play"

Something comes into play if it wasn't in play before and is now. Whether it was put into play or was played doesn't matter. If something is put into play it comes into play.
