Is it just me but you could jsut not guarentee a pack per person. That way although everyoen deosnt get soemthing the prizes ar ehigher for first place and so on

that would cost more money than 5 dollars then

also if your planning to have a sanctioned event i do hope you are a J1, atleast. and if you are you can post it on mtg.com and that might help you get some more people

I am not a J1, and it's not required when doing K16 sanctions. Although, I do want to be a judge, and am currently studying away. Unfortunately, there is only two people in my state that can even give me the interview, and written exam. A J3, and J5... and they aren't exactly close to me :/

MTG will still put up our events though, so thats. good.

Thats pretty awesome. I don't think I would be able to do that though. Even when we get a storefront *dreams*, it'd be a bit risky, but I still want to offer it cheap.

Well, I think I've found a winner.

After a class today, I decided to factor in how long it will take us to break even, and let the 'stores' income to pay for it's own stuff.

While charging $8 at two packs a person, we will be making about $0.87 per pack of cards in the box. So, while using a whole box, which we know we can get for $100 (looking for cheaper, anyone know a place?) we will be making only $27.84 of pure profit. That way we will end up having to spend $400 to make $99.48, and I'll just give us $0.52. 80 people later, we don't have to spend our own money.

While charging $5 at 1 pack a person, we will be making about $1.87 per pack of cards in the box. We will be making $56.84 of pure profit a box. Only 2 boxes, and 64 people later, we'll will have made $113.68. (Yay, extra dough for stamps/small costs.)

$8, 1.5 packs a person. I'll gladly round up, if it comes to that, we'll be making a whopping $2.20 per pack of cards. $70.40 pure profit. Leaving us spending $200, and making $140.80 from it, and having 16 boosters left over.

I think we're going for the last one. It gives us some profit, and will let us expand more quickly later on.
