//NAME: Landstill
3 Fire // Ice
4 Boomerang
4 Vedalken Shackles
4 Shivan Reef
16 Island
4 Stalking Stones
4 Standstill
2 Meloku the Clouded Mirror
3 Fact or Fiction
4 Counterspell
4 Hinder
4 Force Spike
4 Disrupting Shoal
SB: 4 Stifle
SB: 4 Threads of Disloyalty
SB: 3 Stabilizer
SB: 1 Meloku the Clouded Mirror
SB: 3 Hibernation

The concept of this deck is to control the board and make your opponent pissed off at all the card advantage standstill is giving you. And while stalling on standstill and your opponent refusing to break it, u whoop his ass with stalking stones. Meloku is not really needed but I lose to any deck that GETS wonder in the yard without meloku in play because Vedalken Shackles becomes rather useless at that point. I've been having good results with this deck even with my random sb, Pls help! lol. I can't really say what my weakness is, Vedalken Shackles owns aggro, countermagic owns control/combo, Standstill pisses off any of those 3. I guess it depends on the draws, if I don't get Vedalken Shackles vs. aggro i'll probably lose but with all the card drawing its close to impossible to not get it.

Incarnations such has Genesis, Wonder, and also for Life from the Loam. Hinder is also my only 3cc card for Disrupting Shoal. Basically I have chosen Force Spike over Mana leak.

Search lands for...? get an Island and draw less lands in my deck when I need a load of lands to control the board. About Nexus, do you think he his better then stalking stones or should I just run both?

You cant have ext landstill because drawing 3 cards in ext isent the same as drawing 3 cards in legacy or T1. It dosent work like a landstill deck

mono blue works better. You also need a bit more draw.
Blinkmoths are superior to stalking stones aswell but needless to say I run two. two oblivion stones maindeck is also good.

Have you considered running Genju of the Falls? I hope I named the blue one. Also what do you mean by you lose to any deck that gets wonder in the yard? How is shackles useless at that point, can't you still take over them, or are you just refering to how psychatog whoops ya when it gets wonder since you won't be able to control it? As a sidenote you have a preety cool deck there, I'd like to see how it comes along.

What I mean is, for exemple, if they have Wild Mongrel and Psychatog and I have Vedalken Shackles in play and he has lethal damage with tog (i cant steal tog not enough island) so I steal Wild Mongrel and of course when I control it the damn dog doesn't fly Sad but Mr.Teeth does (tog) =[.

you still try to take the tog, even if it doesnt get the tog he will have to remove cards, and if your playing either loam OR classic tog, the only time they will have enough cards to remove and to attack lethal is when they have a LOT of cards

I must be an idiot, but wouldn't gaining control of it before that point work? If they want to stop you, the remove sh*t/discard and you do it again, stealing away their tog fuel. It isn't like tog is a lightning fast deck of doom.
It is retardedly good, definetly, but I am pretty sure this deck runs more counters...well mine does anyway, then again, mine isn't really being played much either...
okay I just gawked at kaesh's deck. Has the exact same core as my landstill deck(in regards to counterspells and draw spells chosen). Not suggesting I have the greatest version ever, in fact, I am not gonna post it unless someone pointedly asks for a list but either way I would like to know how his deck did pre sideboard in the matchup or if he needs the sideboard to beat tog. It seems to me the two decks share a similar principle in the tog matchup(UB tog, btw) and that is: your threats are nearly free and you have far more land to use for counters and draw, their's cost three or five mana, you have more counters than them. Eventually they are going to need to play a tog or meloku chances are the person playing MUC/landstill will have more land out to start with, the three mana or so only emphasizes the theoretical disadvantage. That is just my ideas on the matchup though. I have played against a UBTOG deck with my landstill deck twice(two matchups). So maybe I am way off here. If so, sorry for the tangent but my logic seems sound to me, but then again it is my logic.

I can't use shackle again its tapped. A good player wont just throw is hand and remove yard to tog immediately, they will ask after each pump if i have any response.

I don't know why Kaesh didn't think of running standstill in his MUC, it is such a powerhouse. I won tog with 4 lands when he had 10! He force spiked my standstill in beginning =[
Since tog is slow, I got time to recover and Hindered his Genesis and LFTL for the win.
