I think that if you are going to play rebels, it needs to look something like this:

4 Amrou Scout
4 Blightspeaker
4 Blade of the Sixth Pride
4 Knight of the Holy Nimbus
1 Defiant Vanguard
3 Aven Riftwatcher
1 Cairn Wanderer
1 Cho-Manno, Revolutionary
1 Mirror Entity
1 Big Game Hunter
2 Bound In Silence
4 Nameless Inversion
3 Oblivion Ring
4 Thoughtseize

4 Caves of Koilos
1 Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth
4 Murmuring Bosk
14 Plains

Rune Snag is a lot better than all of Negate, Cancel and Jester's Scepter.

I guess you win mostly by protecting Cho-Manno+Pariah with counters, but you must take into account that the decks around (here or at your place) may not have the tools to deal with that... yet. Any deck with black destruction removal will, however. Shriekmaw does that quite nicely, and you need to have Cancel to counter it. Also blue does run a lot of bounce these days, a nice answer to auras.

Pariah isn't a total waste anyways - it can be put on an enemy creature. It is as good as a removal against some decks. Basing the deck around the combo can be problematic, though.

Since the deck is so mana-intensive, 21 lands are not enough. At least one more is needed.

Rebels was a competitive force in block even after Lin Sivvi was banned. Not saying it's necessarily a good deck now (I haven't tested) but there was a heck of a lot more to the deck than just Lin Sivvi.

(Also worth noting is that Lin Sivvi probably wouldn't have been banned at all had the current legend rule been in effect at the time.)

it was also very good in block because all the other decks werent so good and it was just an insane linear mechanic like affinity in block except without all the hate

Nice completely missing the point by not taking into account it's a one of search target, and the deck will nearly always be able to search out a riftwatcher first.

My point is you would do better to play a Chameleon Colossus if you want to try and jump your opponent, that is if your rebel searchers survive. And considering the many kill spells at a black player's disposal, they will definitely not survive.

Yes, because if you're playing rebels, you definitely want green as your second color.

You already have Bosks. I'd rather take 2 and play a 4/4 protection from black than play a stupid 4/4 with no abilities for 1 more mana. Besides, you're not always hardcasting it.
