Depends what you already have. I post here some ways to pay for stasis:

2x Undiscovered Paradise
1x Forsaken City + a way to draw more then 1 card a turn (to actually do something)
Birds of Paradise/instill Energy
Mind Over Matters + a way to draw more then 1 card a turn (to actuallly do something)
Capsize+enough mana
Obolisk of Undoing + enough mana
Agravated Assault+a lot of mana cretures Razz (funny casual combo on its own btw)
Patron of Orochi+a island/forest dual land
A deck With reset and turnabouts+ graveyard returners and card drawers Wink

edit: Forgot a bunch of returners + card drawing.

I have always thought that stasis would work well with enchantments with flash and cloudstone curio, or undiscovered paradise.

This deck isnt tested! I just threw it together(i didnt actually do the maths for the money, but i dont think it should be expensive(if theirs room left just pay better fetchlands or duals or stuff). Here the list:

Creatures
4 Trinket Mage

Spells
1 Zuran Orb
1 Pact of Negation
1 Tormod's Crypt
1 Slaughter Pact
3 Sensei's Divining Top
4 Stasis
4 Duress
2 Obelisk of Undoing
4 Counterspell
4 Thirst for Knowledge
2 Counterbalance
1 Meekstone
1 Engineered Explosives
2 Frozen AEther

Lands
1 Urza's Factory
4 Terramorphic Expanse
1 Swamp
1 Academy Ruins
8 Island
1 Vault of Whispers
1 Seat of the Synod
4 Tolaria West
2 Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth
2 Cabal Coffers

No Sideboard since i have no idea what your meta looks like. The idea is obviously Obilisk of Undoing + Stasis. To get your mana a little faster i added Urborg and Cabal Coffers into the mix. You have a nice search engine with your Tolaria Wests and the Trinket mages. I have no idea how good this deck actually is. Maybe its a place to start for you or just do something completly else Wink

4 forgotten city
20 island
4 stasis
4 brainstorm
4 propaganda
4 frozen aether
4 daze
3 counterspell
2 remand
3 chain of vapor
1 echoing truth
4 howling mine
2 chronatog
1 feldon's cane

just a very basic list, you could of course add more expensive cards like force of will to make it work better.

Stasis is not casual. The only things that are less casual then stasis are world gorger dragon decks and decks that take infinate games or kill in 1 big turn.

Maybe my definition of casual is diffrent then yours, to me casual is big dumb creatures and huge spells then you can never cast in constructed. Also things like elves, goblins, reanimator, and otherthings. But not stasis and broken i win combo decks.

if stasis is not casual, then how come its not competitive either? just because its combo? ew. and calling elves/goblins casual seems rather... uninformed.

Garruk would work well with stasis (is there anything he doesnt work well with). Infact ive been inspired so much as to make a deck i hope is with in your budget garruk should maintain value for a good while also.

Casual Stasis

4 Stasis
4 Sakura Tribe Elder
4 Forcespike
4 Echoing truth
4 Counterspell
4 Remand
4 Mana Leak
4 Garruk Wild Speaker
4 Fertile Ground
1 Meloku the clouded mirror
1 Rude Awakening
11 Forest
11 Island

The basic idea here is too counter any early threats until you can lay and defend garruk then get stasis down. Then you can win with beast tokens, or by echoing truthing your stasis eot into rude awakening plus garruk overrun ability for the win if that is not enough by itself. Meloku is a random one off simply because its soooo good.

If your having problems consistently getting the combo or you find yourself running out of gas too much, you may consider taking out either the mana leak or counterspell depending on if the double blue or not being a hard counterspell is proving more problamatic for mulldrifter or something.

You could also add treetop village if you are playing vs alot of control and yavimaya coasts or tropical islands obv if and when you can afford them.

In my mind. Casual should be fun. Stasis is one of the most boring decks in the history of mtg. Stasis is not competitive because there is no format that it can play in... unless you play T1 or T1.5. You could make a decent T1.5 turbo stasis deck if you wanted. It would be tier 2 but it could win. T1 isn't a place Stasis to win games though.

3x chain of vapor
4x stasis
4x howling mine
4x anvil of bogarden
1x time elemental
4x impulse
4x black vise (hey it's casual right?)
4X gush
2X thwart
4x daze
2x foil
3x counterspell
2x forsaken city
19x island

That's a pretty cheap stasis deck, the most expensive card is probably howling mine. Only problem is noone will ever play you twice with that deck.

Black Vise was unrestricted about 6 months ago in Vintage.

Pay a blue, Pay a blue, Pay a blue, Pay a blue, Pay a blue, Pay a blue, Pay a blue, Pay a blue, Pay a blue, Pay a blue, Pay a blue, Pay a blue, Pay a blue, Pay a blue, Pay a blue, Pay a blue, Pay a blue, Pay a blue, Pay a blue, Pay a blue, Pay a blue, Pay a blue, Pay a blue, Pay a blue, Pay a blue, Pay a blue, Pay a blue, Pay a blue, Pay a blue, Pay a blue, Pay a blue, Pay a blue, Pay a blue, Pay a blue, Pay a blue. Oops forgot to pay a blue! This is the kind of deck that people will find funny the first time you play it casually, but people will then begin to hate you for playing because it just offs anything fun in casual. But if you insist on playing this any of the few lists should work fine. I like glulls list as it is cheap and simple.

P.S.
Pay a blue, Pay a blue, Pay a blue, Pay a blue, Pay a blue, Pay a blue, Pay a blue, Pay a blue, Pay a blue, Pay a blue, Pay a blue, Pay a blue, Pay a blue, Pay a blue, Pay a blue.
