3CB Round 3 Results/Round 4 Entries

Hi i am sry for the delay thistime, because of it i will make the next deadline on the following sunday. We had only 19 players thistime, maybe soldevi digger + thran turbine scarried some players. I wondered that there werent any token decks thisround and i also missed Vindicate. Whatever lets see what happened.

1.KeySam - Spiketail Proctor - Tolarian Academy, Stern Proctor, Spiketail Hatchling ([79] Wow i didnt expect to win this round, but bouncing the engine or just countering every spell every turn is good, and black lotus is not good against spiketail hatchling)

2.Gypsy - Untitled - plateau, swords to plowshares, lightning bolt ([56] There was enough artifact hate floating around to stop this deck)

3.Ichy - because i'm bored - Black Lotus, Essense Warden, Whirling dervish ([14] Weird deck, i dont know what to say else)

4.gushatog - Stax - mishra's workshop, trinisphere, moonglove extract ([72] Very nice idea, although i think if you played steel golem instead of trinisphere you would have won this round[You drew against artifact removal turn 1)

5.MistyFatDog - Burn Ya Face BIATCH . Mountain, Lightning Bolt, Lightning Bolt ([33] A worse version of deck 2, i dont know why you have a dead second lightning bolt?)

6. Dragon_Ascendant - Kickazizstan's Plutonium Love Notes- Black Lotus, Phyrexian Dreadnout, Illusionary Mask ([42] This round had to mutch artifact hate for dreadnought, but i told you before i expect artifact hate)

7. Togpuppy - STPS Much- Swords to plow shares - Lightning Bolt - Plateau ([57] See deck 2)

8. Aule - Three Turn Burns - Black Lotus, Lightning Bolt, Incinerate ([16] Another worse deck then deck 7 or 2, its even slower then mountain+lightning bolt, dont realy now why you played this)

9.Lunarvoltage - Bridging the Gap - Mishra's Workshop, Ensnaring Bridge, Moonglove Extract ([33] Ensnaring Bridge instead of Trinisphere, is not a good idea if you can expect a lot of players to kill your artifacts)

10. broham - Untitled - City of Traitors, Lightning Helix, Isochron Scepter ([51] Again there was to mutch art hate)

11.Halinn - Black Lotus, Rack and Ruin, Isao, Enlightened Bushi ([58] I like Rack and ruin in your deck, but since some decks didnt need the recursion it wasnt that hot)

12.Sumpathguy - A soldevi digger in play is worth yours in the grave.dec - Treasure Hunter - Black Lotus -Aura of

Silence ([72] Aura of silence is very good since it stops also STax, i liked this deck alot)

13.tcook589 - I Hope Everyone Uses ThranTurbine and SoldeviDigger.dec - Black Lotus, Kitaki, War's Wage, Oblivion

Ring ([74] Another deck i liked, funny how good Kitaki works cause of anap)

14.shaman08 - Deck Name: I Broke The Format! - Oriss, Samite Guardian, Oriss, Samite Guardian, Black Lotus ([64] No you didnt, but it worked ok, I guess you forgot that there will be a lot of instants)

15.HUNGTACTICS - Untitled - black lotus, smallpox, nether spirit ([19] I guess you didnt know that soldevi digger and thran turbine is in play, i cant figure why you played this deck if you know that)

16.Allive Zombie - Mr. Ferro Peed in my Meth Workshop - Mishra's Workshop, Thorn of Amethyst, Ferropede ([70] Why did you play Ferropede?, I think you could have expected that there wont be a lot of charge action)

around and never needed. - Leonin Squire, Eater of Days, Black Lotus ([25] The name is weird, and the choice for the meta is too)

18.Noname1 - Untitled^2 - Spiketail Drakeling, Oblivion Ring, Black Lotus ([66] Similar to my deck, i am not sure why it did worse, I guess the problem was that you cant spiketaildrakling every round for the draw)

19.Hank333 - Sometimes you put ring on their digger - Black Lotus, Oblivion Ring, Indentured Djinn ([73] A Fair deck for a fair result)

Next Round:
For the next round, for the next round we play T2 with some bannings. (So only Type 2 cards allowed + additional bans) I banned all those cards to put some more creativy into this round.

Banned Decks:
*Any deck that can feasibly force your opponent to discard more than 1 card a turn. (The word force here is important. Mind Bomb is still legal, unless combined with Mindslaver)
*Any deck that can feasibly win on the first turn
*Any deck that contains a card that lets you choose a nonland card from a players hand and discard it(Unmask is still legal)

3-Card Blind (3CB) is a very unique game. The rules are as follows

Your deck is composed of 3 cards, all of which start in your hand.
You have no library (technically, the library exists, but starts at 0 cards) and no sideboard (Wishes fetch nothing).
Random effects always go in your opponent's favour.
You can see your opponent's hand, so you can always make the best possible play.
You don't lose as a result of not being able to draw a card.
You will play each opponent twice, once going first, once going second.
Decks cannot force an opponent to discard more than 1 card in a turn.
For each win, you score 3.
For each draw, you score 1.
For each loss, you get nothing.
Other than the aforementioned, EVERYTHING IS HANDLED EXACTLY LIKE A REAL GAME OF MAGIC!

Ugh completely forgot to submit the time walk, tolarian academy, dryad arbor deck for last round.

Nice idea Tenak! A pitty you didnt play, i think that deck could be very good Wink

But the faerie that untaps would have been better Wink

I was also thinking about an other deck, that would also have been done very good i think.

Karkas, Pact of the Titans, Angels Grave (i didnt play it cause i feared a lot of trinisphere like decks(because i would have lost to them even on the play :/)

I Don't know if i agree with the results, let me know if i am wrong:

vs 1. Keysam Lose on the draw to SPiketail Drake. On the Play I oblivion ring your digger and you can't cast anything.(3)

Vs 8. Aule Put me down as a draw. I cast ring on the digger both games, he kills my Djinn once but can't get his stuff back, i get my djinn back and he swings for the win.(6)

vs 13. tcook. Both games i just hang on to Lotus Oblivion ring and it is a draw. If either of us play our threat it gets ringed out. (2)

That would put me +9 from 66. Maybe i didn't consider all the options, or maybe i misread the scoring chart. let me know if i am an idiot. thanks.

Vs me your right i forgot the oring on art play vs you(think i didnt forgot it vs the others).

I have realy now idea why i made it wrong against 8(realy no idea).

13 wins vs you, cause he plays kataki (your recusive engine dies cause of anap), then you can oblivion ring his kathaki(whch he answers by oring your oring)

I change that.

read tolarian academy again it makes a blue for every artifact you control, so in that deck it makes nothing and also for that to work you would need 2 artifacts in play to get two mana so you wouldn't have to tap your arbor every turn for mana

for the last round each player started with a soldevi digger and a thran turbine in play(thats 2 total artifacts) thats also the reason why he could go infinite Wink

Maybe you should have read the rules for last round Wink

too lazy to actually check each deck, but if any1's win was based on opponent mana burning from turbine, read the card... says u may add mana

Noname seems your right. I have no time to fix it(and i wont be at home for the rest of the weekend) so ill fix in monday. Feel as the second winner. (I saw that i gave both of you 0 points against 17 lol, the later the decks the harder it is to concentrate )
