SB: 1 [TSB] Fiery Justice
With the Few creatures with great CIP abilities i was surprised when i hadn't seen an Elvish piper deck yet, so i thought i should make one.
The playability is really easy but it's a little slow at times and i was wondering if anyone had some help that they could give me.
I think the premise is good, but today's meta online is all about th quicker the better and the more control the better. i would like to try and get around that some how.
But eyes of the wisent is basically GG against any blue deck that can't bounce the permanant. |

| Yep, if you switch cloodgoat for siege gang, you can cut the white altogether. |

I guess I can spell it out for you more clearly, since you'd rather flame than think.
There are three white cards in the deck:
1. Cloudgoat Ranger - Better replaced with Siege Gang Commander.
2. Ajani Goldmane - doesn't really help the "power out big guys" strategy and could easily be replaced with another card, say Garruk, if you're attached to having a planeswalker, since he does power out fat guys.
3. Crib Swap - Not a terribly efficient spell to begin with, and the deck has no need for tribal spells specifically. This could easily be replaced with Incinerate, an extra troll, more fat guys, Molten Disaster, etc. |

Wow, people give actual advice here still. i must be lucky
1. Defintly. i have been testing and i get better results if i get stuck with no piper
2. i'm not attached to a planeswalker, i was just using Ajani's vigalence ability. ut garruk could better, i'll have to test
3. i agree, i just wanted a remove in there and it has hurt me in the past when a tarmo gets a nice little extra boost from it. i was thinking maybe even thrwing in some gargon's becaus emy pipers and birds always get hated, might as well use their deaths, eh? |

How about commune with nature for this deck? It would help you find your pipers or a big threat if you already have a piper in play.
Like the deck, if only there was a decent way to give the piper haste. Thousand year elixir mb? (lol) |

I don't think Hearthcage Giant and Guardian of the Cloverdell are good enough creatures to just straight win games once they enter play.
Hellkite and SGC are good enough. GG is also good.
Take out the Fiery Justices, then you can drop Gemstone Mine as well. It isn't a good card unless you have Predator in play anyways.
Here are some good creatures to pipe out:
Scourge of Kher Ridges
Akroma, Angel of Fury
Hamletback Goliath
Shivan Hellkite
Deadwood Treefolk
Hostility
Vigor
Cloudtresher
... and these are all red and green. You can play them through Garruk ramping quite easily. Akroma of Wrath could easily be in there even though you can't play it without piper. It is the best creature to get in play earlier than it should. |

| The more good advice you follow the more this deck will end up looking like rg mana ramp. |

Yeah, when there is another archetype, that is doing quite well in t2, and is very similar to this but better, it would be common sense to use Mana Ramp.
But It is your decission, piper dies with nothing, can be easily countered, so I dont see the point of this deck. |
