UGW Opposition

There was originally a thread for this deck but it seems to have gone dead in the recent weeks. I think that this is due most likely to the fact that opposition is not viable in the current extended. HOWEVER, I know that its really good against Aggro Doran and may be only a little less than 50/50 against anything that is not combo, which is what the tri-state area (NY, NY, CT) metagame is shaping up to be this season. Further, in this season, I think its more true than ever that is not WHAT you play, but HOW WELL you play it. The decklist:

4x windswept heath
4x flooded strand
4x breeding pool
1x temple garden
1x hallowed fountain
4x snow-covered forest
3x snow-covered island
1x snow-covered plains

4x birds of paradise
4x wall of roots
4x tarmogoyf
4x imperious perfect <--- really want opinion on this slot
4x troll ascetic
3x loxodon hierarch
2x eternal witness

4x opposition
3x sensei's divining top
3x counterbalance
3x umezawa's jitte

the SB is flexible at this point and if I find that this deck is not worth it, then the SB talk is moot.

A final note: I'm well aware that Chapin has a UG elf-opposition list online somewhere. I've seen it and can't recall the exact decklist at this point. However, when I've played that deck, I felt like it relies too heavily on opposion. The creatures in that deck CANNOT win the game by themselves whereas here, Goyf, Troll+Jitte are completely able to take over the game even if Opposition doesn't show up.

Please let me know what you guys think about this deck. Are people willing to give it a chance? What changes do you think could and should be made?

ive won many games with chapins list with out opposition u just get a bunch of tokens or just play intruder alarm and sprout swarm that decks cool.

Perfect is very good with opposition. it fits the colors better then tree of vitu-ghazi, and 2/2's aren't bad either.

Why didnt you throw in 1 or 2 vitugazis? I think living wish may fit as well. You could have gaddock teeg as well as meddling mage in sideboard, to improve your combo mu further. I guess with opposition 3 jittes and hierarchs your aggro mu is good anyway. And maybe you could add some card drawers into the deck(sometimes senseis selection isnt good enough). Wish sideboard also opens for things like kataki and stuff. I am not sold on wall of roots in this deck. Yea thats just the things came into my mind.

Da_Penguin is Leninn right, he joined shortly after lennin was banned. Posts with the same regularity, with an equally rude drunken manner. Uses all the same abreviations and even ocassionally gets letters back to front just like him. Just goes to show you can not keep a drunken canadian in denial down.

You should have come back with the new forum nick of forest_gump that would have been hilarious.

i am not lennin, i know who he is irl and how are my comments rude, and im sorry if im lazy and i type fast so i make typos hey no ones perfect, and a lot of people use the same abbreviations from where im from so whats the big deal, i joined this league cuz lennin told me its easy to win a lot of people are scrubs, why would lennin make a new account just to write on forums hes only banned on forums for a month of something.

lennin is also a drug addict and overreacts on everything i dont know what he did to be banned but im not him.

Maybe not rude, just the same abrasive direct manner, which could easily be misconstrued as rude. I don’t really like everyone picking on Leninn anyway just because he has a bad attitude it’s not nice. I just cant resist a good joke though. Maybe you are maybe you not Lennin I don’t really care, obviously if you are Lennin you are not going to admit to it, as you’ll just get banned again.

One piece of advice if you are Lennin stop taking things so seriously and just don’t make the same mistake as last time and I’m sure you’ll be fine.

Funny that as I do believe Lennin was the guy who ordered that ice pick planted in my back. Im not 100% certain as my a-level history was over 7 years ago now. Some history buff feel free to correct me if im wrong.

Run the U/G Opposition list that t8ed at Butler. I lost to it round 7 when I could have drawn into the t8. It locked me out turn 3, but he only draws good cards against me as he lost to his best matchup in the first round of t8. Oh well. The list should be online in a day or two.
