The soft lock post kinda recharged my interest in custom cards. And well I had thought about this, if you could make a planeswalker, what abilities would you give it? I tried a few times and I'm not all that good at it. But I did see a good one on mtgsalvation:

http://forums.mtgsalvation.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=61339&stc=1&d=1196269590

thats a pretty clever one, and got me thinking. What would other people make planeswalkers do.

So lets see your versions...

Keysam - that planewalker is an auto-win against a lot of control. It slips under permission and wins you the game on turn 4. :/

any way you play it, a well timed disruption (bounce/needle/etc) would totally wreck it.

Planeswalker 1UUGG

+2: Return target creature you control to it's owner's hand.

-X: Search your library for a creature card with converted mana X and put it into your hand.

-8: You put into play as many creature cards from your hand without paying their converted mana costs as you wish. Creatures put into play this turn gain haste.

Starting loyalty counters: 4

edit: fixed

@Craze you forgot you may play them without paying their mana coast. Other then that i like it very mutch.

@AVata Vs control it may win you the game but its very risky, the risk just getting it bounced or destroy is pretty high, i dont think its at all to good. The thing is its too risky cause it says (if you hold any bounce kill spell i lose). If you play any creature with power 2 i lose, if you play a creature with power 1 i probably also lose. (of course it depends on the control deck but what deck doesnt have an bounce spell or a cheap creature it can play or a planeswalker kill spell).

How about this:

Beowulf Warspeaker Cost: 1RR

+1: Target creature can't block this turn.

-1: Attacking creatures get +2/+0 until end of turn.

-6: Untap all creatures that attacked this turn. After this phase, there is an additional combat phase, followed by an additional main phase.

Starting loyalty: 4

Imagine how cool it would be if we could use all three abilities in the same turn! Wink

Planeswalker 1UUWW

+1 Target creature gains changeling. (this effect does not end at the end of the turn)

-1 Target creature becomes the color of your choice. (this effect does not end at the end of the turn)

-4: Choose a creature type and a color: as long as [name] is in play, creatures that have both this creature type and color can not attack you

ability 1 is FAR too good.

Planeswalker 1UUBB

+1 discard your hand

-2 Search your library for a card, you may put that card into your graveyard.

-6: Until the end of the turn, you may play spells from your graveyard without paying their mana cost.

Gaea, One With The Earth 1G

+1: You may play an additional land this turn.
-3: Place target land on top of it's owners library.
-5: Place two target lands on top of their owner's library.

Starting Loyalty: 2

An obvious combination of exploration, upwelling, and Plow Under... but it highlites my favorite aspects of green. Very Happy
