This is an interesting deck I came up with. It uses Door to Nothingness to win, and is straight green, with other mana used only for the door itself. The problem is that it's not fast enough (usually) to pull everything I need before getting run over. I've made a few changes, but it's still not great. I'm looking to keep it all green but still speed up my draw (because I think my main problem is that I don't get everything out fast enough).
Lands (20):
12X Forest
4x Windswept Heath
4x Wooded Foothills
Creatures (20):
4x Composite Golem
4x Krosan Tusker
4x Joiner Adept
4x Heart Warden
4x Sakura-Tribe Elder
Noncreature Spells (20):
4x Door to Nothingness
4x Harmonize
4x Pulse of Llanowar
4x Sensei's Divining Top
4x Skyshroud Claim
The Pulses of Llanowar and Joiner Adepts are in there for mana conversion, with the Composite Golems serving as shields and/or mana. The Harmonizes, Skyshroud Claims, Sakura-Tribe Elders, Sensei's Divining Tops and Fetch lands serve as deck acceleration, with Heart Wardens and Krosan Tuskers to double as mana and a shield, respectively. I'm well aware that a Door to Nothingness deck is most likely not a good choice for tournament play, but I'm a casual player anyway, so I'm looking to get the best use out of this rather interesting card. |

Heartbeat of Spring seems like a strong addition. This would allow you to win on turn 5 (rarely, of course, needing joiner adept, heartbeat, and door) and is probably the quickest way for you get to 10 mana.
Celestial Dawn is another way to work out the mana filtering as well and it's cheaper than pulse of llanowar, although it'd require changing colors around.
(Also, I just noticed it was reprinted in time spiral, which would make it a lot easier to get than having to go all the way back to mirage.) |

| I think Moment's Peace would be good at stalling in this deck. |

| Try Crystal Quarry and Heartbeat of Spring to get the right amount and colours of mana really quickly. |

My main concerns with Doubling Cube and Heartbeat of Spring were:
Doubling Cube: It costs [3] to activate the ability anyway. Thus instead of 10 mana, I'd have to get 8 lands out anyway. For that little of a difference, I may as well run land searches like Explosive Vegetation or the like.
Heartbeat of Spring: This also helps your opponents.
Also, I was worried that a 1 in 15 chance of drawing Joiner Adept wouldn't be enough, which is why I put the Pulses of Llanowar in. However, with all the searching and Sensei's Divining top, I found that I was ok without them, and ultimately switchd them out for Heartbeats of Spring.
As for the Crystal Quarries? I merely hadn't thought of them. Great idea; they have helped me quite a bit.
So for the current (I never say final, because things can always be changed) decklist, here it is.
Lands (20):
8X Forest
4x Windswept Heath
4x Wooded Foothills
4x Crystal Quarry
Creatures (20):
4x Composite Golem
4x Krosan Tusker
4x Joiner Adept
4x Heart Warden
4x Sakura-Tribe Elder
Noncreature Spells (20):
4x Door to Nothingness
4x Harmonize
4x Heartbeat of Spring
4x Sensei's Divining Top
4x Skyshroud Claim
It's quite fun, and wins enough to keep me playing it. Any more suggestions are welcome, and thanks again to the people who've helped me with it. Feel free to try the deck yourselves. |

I would heavily suggest you play enlightened tutors to help you find things you need. And he's right about Moment's Peace. 8 fogs for 4 card spaces in the deck? Other than that though, this deck will be hard to play against burn without any way of gaining life/countering spells. You can run CoP: red in SB if you need to, that would pretty much stop them dead. Esp. with little/no plains they may not be expecting it.
I've always thought this deck would be fun to make, along with other odd win conditions like coalition victory etc. |
