I was looking around the net and found this...
http://forums.mtgsalvation.com/showthread.php?t=82622
...for anyone who is interested.
I really wasn't overtly satisfied with it, but it's something. What I really want to know about is the new Card Type that' supposed to be in the game and how it's supposed to work. Otherwise, on opening day, we'll all be scratching our heads when we end up with one in our hands and say, "WTF, that's not a instant, ummm, it's fake..... wait... oh nevermind...."
LOL, jk I'm sure we'll know by then, but it would be cool to have at least some advance notice as to such an obviously huge "rule change". |

wow that's a lot of cool info about the set I didn't see before.
A more traditional fantasy setting huh. I almost thought they were moving away from that.
I am guessing that Planeswalkers are either going to be cards that come into play another no player's control, or I believe it's more likely that they are going to be Vanguard-like cards. (which I believe would be based off the implementation and popularity of Magic Online vanguards but this time brought into physical Magic, and also perhaps to compete with The Spoils faction cards which are essentially the same idea)

Most of this information had been known for quite some time now. The new card type, whatever it will be, is going to have a Tips & Tricks card inserted into the booster pack to explain what it does and how it works. This is official information given to use by MaRo. |

Vanguard was IRL around 1998-2000, there even was a grand prix with them I think (dominated by Hanna).
It is, at the moment, believed that planeswalkers will be enchantment-like cards (meaning that they cost mana), except that they can't be removed by any means. |

Oh well yea I know Vanguard were originally physical cards. But I was thinking these would be a new take on them that would be more 'official' .. tournament legal and included in the new set in boosters as normal-sized cards. I mentioned the Magic Online version because that was their more recent implementation and I took it that they are far more popular, with more sanctioned play than the irl versions ever had. The old Vanguard was like.. casual, with the comically oversized cards, and unlike Magic Online they don't make those anymore. I took it that Lorwyn might bring back a new version of Vanguard but this time to stay and that would be pretty COOL.
If they are enchantments that can't be removed, I wonder if they would have vanguard-like abilities. But it would be cooler if you can start the game with them in play.

Yes I know but this is the first time I've read it. I don't check Wotc and Mtgsalvation for Lorwyn updates.
