I was thinking of something like this:

Lands (22)
4 Temple Garden
3 Sacred Foundry
3 Stomping Ground
4 Flagstones of Trokair
1 Brushland
1 Battlefield Forge
2 Ghost Quarter
2 Mountain
2 Forest
Creatures (17)
4 Loxodon Hierarch
4 Birds of Paradise
3 Wall of Roots
4 Tarmogoyf
2 Greenseeker
Other Spells (21)
4 Wrath of God
4 Boom // Bust
4 Lightning Helix
4 Seismic Assault
3 Life from the Loam
2 Crucible of Worlds

No sb atm...thinking of Pithing Needle, Ancient Grudge, Shattering Spree, Krosan Grip...

I don't know how well either would work, but I love them both... The idea of crucible w/ flagstones and the deck thinning that would ensue is rad. I don't know if I like crucible w/ loam though. Seems like wasted slots.

I'm in the process of testing a list or two, but no matter what I do, it seems like if I draw loam and assault the deck is amazing, but if I don't I'm just playing randompile.dec.

Aggro/Loam isn't really appropriate for type 2. When you take out the good fetchlands, the good cycling lands, the Devastating Dreams that does more than Bust for 4 less mana, and the ultra high quality cards like Duress, then the remainder of the deck isn't good at all.
