Boy, was I happy when I saw there FINALLY was a Legacy Master scheduled for Sunday, because there haven't been any for the...erm...last ten months or so.
But since it has disappeared from the calendar now, I'd be very interested as to why that is, and if there is going to be another one in the near future. |

Sorry, it was a planning mistake. First we thought it would be interesting to hold a Legacy Master a bit before GP Columbus, but then we realized the pre-release events were in the same weekend and in the weekends after. So what we did, is cancelling it, and hold a Standard (T2) Master right after all the real life release events. We have been doing this for years now. Then we are the first place for people to competitively test out new decks with the new set. Now this was especially interesting, considering US regionals are soon.
We also didn't realize the Master last Sunday was on Mother's day when we planned it. It was planned many weeks in advance and the first Sunday after the FS release events seemed a logical choice. Sunday Masters always have the highest turnouts. We felt we couldn't change it anymore later on to Saturday, because it was announced for weeks already before we realized it.
For the upcoming months, you can expect nothing but Standard (T2) and Time Spiral Block Constructed Masters, because of Regionals and Nationals all around the world and the TSP Block Constructed PTQ Season.
A Legacy Master can conceivably take place in a Sealed PTQ season not in the summer. It will be done again sometime, but you have to realize we want to use our prize money wisely and use it for tournaments that would attract many players. T2 just attracts more players. |

| I understand that T2 attracts more players overall...however, it would also have some merit to host more Legacy events because of the lack of support this format has from Wizards in real life tournaments. So, I'm pretty sure there are many Legacy players out there who want to play this format but can't, and would even switch from playing in real-life tourneys (but with no Legacy support) to M-L tourneys if there would be, say, a Legacy tourney every two weeks or so. There are already some well-known players from the Legacy community playing in the trials (Hanni, for instance)... |

Same with Vintage. We understand that T2 is the most played format, and that's fine. However having at least a trial or master every now and then, without waiting months, would be nice |
