UWR Control, as played by Tiago Chan. How could the deck/sideboard be changed? How could the matchups be improved? Discuss! |

| This is very solid as it is, I just think that he had a bad matchup. |

| I emailed Frank Karsten about the sideboard and some card choices and he was very quick and helpful but I can't help but disagree even though he's the pro. I've played a similar deck for a while now, with no hellkites, but with 4 firemanes, and they are a recurring threat against control, plus in the yard they save you in the aggro matchup. I think this deck needs an answer to martyrtron though. Against dragonstorm you can just dig for the right cards to get yourself to 23+ life then wrath the dragons away. |

| Yeah this is one of my fav decks in the format cuz it has good matchups vs about everything but LD perhaps sacred grounds to help this. Against dstorm this deck rocks because like martyr tron the deck cannot do anything post wrath if they dont instant kill which they normally won't do. Other than that nothing really to say except I plan to see this deck t8 a lot more soon and prolly become one of the t3 decks in the format. |

What about a more aggro version with a transformational sideboard? Everyone knows that the one thing that really kills Storm.deck and Tron.dec is LD?
That Mean Gurl
4 Azorius Herald
4 Court Hussar
4 Lightning Angel
4 Lightning Helix
4 Electrolyze
4 Temporal Isolation
2 Demonfire
4 Remand
2 Izzet Signet
2 Boros Signet
2 Azorius Signet
1 Gemstone Caverns
1 Academy Ruins
1 Vesuva
1 Urza's Factory
2 Mountain
3 Island
3 Flagstones of Trokair
4 Steam Vents
4 Sacred Foundry
4 Hallowed Fountain
SB: 3 Return to Dust
SB: 4 Wrath of God
SB: 4 Cryoclasm
SB: 4 Annex
Given the matchup vs Tron. I think that Cryoclasm or Stone Rain would be a great thing to have on the SB. I think that it is still great to have Wrath on the board or in the maindeck. I have made the SB to rip up Tron. I have found that it works good vs control decks also. Wrath is there as always to help vs BDW. In my meta I see a lot of TRON and some Storm Decks. Mostly TRON. I hear that taking away the other players colored mana makes it hard for them to play.
hehe

| Seems like a cool deck, for your metagame. or if no one plays tormods crypt play magnivore, it's like 99% win angainst tron. |

//Sideboard:
SB: 4 Cryoclasm
SB: 4 Faith's Fetters
SB: 4 Annex
SB: 3 Circle Of protection: Red
Does that look better or worse than the original sideboard? I don't really like condemns as the aggro matchup is pretty favorable anyways, and cryoclasm seems better against dragonstorm and tron and 3 color control decks than solifuge. I've also been testing with the maindeck -1 Mesa, -1 lightning Angel, -1 Demonfire and It has been doing very well. It really shores up your control matchup when you side in 4 Cryo's and 4 Annex. You have Flagstones and Bouncelands and Signets that all help you recover from Wildfire faster than your opponent, and it's also like having extra wraths. Bogardan lives through a wildfire also, so there's some more synergy.
And R3wind: 30 Mana sources seems like overkill. |

This Guy:
//Land//
2x Adakar Wastes
4x Hallowed Fountain
1x Shivan Reef
1x Azorious Chancery
1x Izzet Boilerworks
4x Fagstones
2x Island
4x Steam Vents
4x Sacred Foundry
[u]//Creatures//[u]
2x Numot, the Devastator
4x Court Hussar
2x Firemane
[u]//Spells//[u]
4x Lightning Helix
4x Wrath of "G"
3x Azorious Signet
2x Wildfire
4x Remand
3x Ancestral Visions
3x Boom/Bust
2x Demonfire
4x Annex
[u]//Sideboard//[u]
3x Cryoclasm
1x Stonecloaker
3x Detrivore
3x Sudden Shock
3x Spell Snare
1x Urza's Factory
1x Sacred Mesa
-------------------------------------------------------------
Too many hours of testing have proven that GM1 only has a 15% success rate vs. Dralnu... sucks. Which is why the SB is so anti-Nu. Detrivore is M$NEY vs. any non-basic heavy land base out there. Would be BloodMoon, but, DUHH!! Snare is still the all-round best counter too counters out there. Factory & Mesa win gms. vs Dralnu if resolved or seen! Sudden shock allows a slight kill condition vs. Teferi (If something is better, please, please, tell THE WORLD) It also helps with Dralnus' drawback.. again if slight. Cryoclasm w/Detrivore is more MUST COUNTER action to throw their way. It may seem a little rich to SB so heavy for 1 match-up. Just look @ Tiago Chans' build of Owling Mine vs. Olivier Ruels'. If it means another notch up in F8's, I'll take it. And if it's our ONLY weak match-up, I again WILL take what I WILL have. Stonecloaker? Facing a possible Extirpate in gms 2/3, 1x Cloaker in - 1x Firemane out. Nothing says I love you like a possible 1-for-4 that turns out 1-for-1. Happens more than u know. Possible SB fixes that are unknown tech. to me would be appreciated. However insane they may. Remember this: This is a heavily tested deck (nearly 200hrs between 5 high-end friends/ yes, PT lvl 4's, Players Lounge members involved here/ in 3 weeks).
A shout-out to Ronnan for winning here with a similar "DOMAIN" deck. Props to you, we were close, but your result inspired us to test to no end.

| The deck is called captain America and is not new. I play it aggro and i use 4 Lightning angels, 4 Char and 1 akroma, angel of fury. The court hussar is very passive and i dont like him. Teferi works with akroma like a charm. |

I 'poligize for that shitty decklist that i made... I was wasted when i did so if i can remember correctly...
An appropriate version (or the one i run irl) goes as follows

4 Lightning Angel
1 Akroma, Angel of Wrath
1 Akroma, Angel of Fury
Non-Creature Spells (31)
4 Wrath of God
4 Think Twice
4 Lightning Helix
4 Remand
4 Psionic Blast
2 Demonfire
3 Faith's Fetters
3 Rewind
1 Izzet Signet
1 Boros Signet
1 Azorius Signet
Land (23)
1 Urza's Factory
1 Calciform Pools
1 Plains
2 Mountain
2 Island
4 Flagstones of Trokair
4 Steam Vents
4 Sacred Foundry
4 Hallowed Fountain
SB: 2 Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir
SB: 3 Boom/Bust
SB: 4 Cryoclasm
SB: 3 Detrivore
SB: 3 Commandeer
This deck actually works... that last list is something I have honestly never ran before. lol. kinda funny once i look at it again... |

A recuring pattern with above decklists.
Why play Annex and Cryoclasm In the board when you can take up half that many slots with Detrivore's.
Also this deck can also be vulnerable to Detrivore
Pull from Eternity or Sacred Grounds in the board maybe? |
