Is it bad that my first thought with TSBC was mono-blue wizard aggro?

4 Sage of Epityr
4 Flying Men
4 Drifter Il-Dal
4 Looter Il-Kor
4 Voidmage Prodigy
4 Spiketail Drakeling

4 Psionic Blast
4 Unstable Mutation
3 Snapback
3 Cancel

1 Pendelhaven
3 Desert
18 Island

SB: 3 Willbender
SB: 3 Dandan
SB: 3 Tormod's Crypt
SB: 3 Serrated Arrows
SB: 3 Dream Prowler

I really wanted Willbender and Fathom Seer maindeck, but had trouble finding enough room with the critical evasion cards and the wizards for Voidmage. A close version of this deck has been doing well at our FNM, and obviously Remand gives it a boost, but it definitely showcases the power of Voidmage with any kind of clock on the board.

Sry, WW or WW/r crushes this it's got more efficient creatures and better spells.

Griffin Guide>Unstable Mutation
Soltari Priest>Looter

And so on. WW is also much harder to beat because it's creatures are so resistant to removal. And lack of efficient board wipers make WW much better too. Sulfurous Blast is useless vs knights and priests. MotD is too slow and still doesn't deal with Griffin Guide. Deso Giant has the same problem and it's even slower. Because there's a lack of such a board wiper makes ur counterspelling redundant.

So build a deck which beats WW and we'll talk.

wait... your judging his deck on the basis of 1 OTHER deck?
That's not fair, thats like saying "Your deck sucks because i can counter your win condition".

k im not the best at this set currently, but i can tell you that Kai Budde a.k.a voidmage is awful in this deck bc you have no way to abuse it, if i knew with what you could replace with, ( LEVIATHAN ) i'd tell you

Bigshow, he has 16 wizards, I think that's enough to abuse it, maybe you don't know that the looter and drifter are wizards, most ppl don't. I still think your hilarious though bigshow! Very Happy

This is what im working on, and am about to start testing.

1 Pendelhaven
3 Desert
18 Island

4 Flying Men
4 Drifter Il-Dal
4 Looter Il-Kor
3 Fathom Seer
3 Riftwing Cloudskate
3 Vesuavan Shapeshifter

4 Piracy Charm
4 Pognify
4 Unstable Mutation
4 Psionic Blast

Ok, for card choices.

Riftwing-Bounces anything +Free Flyier

Shapshifter-Good vs Legends also coppies thier best critter or yours + resuable

Piracy Charm = Dead Soltari, and well anything with 1 toughness

Pognify takes out thier evasion or Fatty work well with Riftwing to.

Think rest is rather self explainable.

EDIT: Forgot Sideboard

4 Snapback
4 Spellburst
4 Spiketail Drakling
3 Tefri
