Ok. It is time we gave closure to this long awaited subject.
What is the greatest fighting game ever?
Does the depth of street fighter 2 set it apart?
Or does the simplicity and brutality of Mortal Kombat make it the best?
Does the revolutionary camera system of tekken elevate it above the others?
Does the fast pace of Marvel vs Capcom leave the others behind?
Or do the boobies of DoA bounce the competition away?

it had to be tekken, cause i love it hehe i played all the others but with tekken i had most fun. But perfectly would be tekken with Fatlaities hehe  i love the fatalaty where he takes the arm of the opponent and slay him to death with his own arm. PWND |

Not even close. Street Fighter in a landslide. Had enough depth and complexity to keep it interesting, even today. Had cool racial stereotype characters. I think in most "greatest of all time" debates you have to go with the originator. The Beatles are to music what Street Fighter is to fighting games, without them the others wouldn't exist.
Honorable mention to Soul Caliber
That Naruto game is wicked fun, all you SSB fanboys would like it. |
