Card advantage! shadowmage, ohran vper, hypnotic and Plagued sliver as the fattie. Call of the herd is a semi fattie, 3/3. But magic is about card advantage.

sketchy for mana as always.. but thats the nature of BUG aggro.

Personally I think you got too many 1 drops, kick some llanlower elves out. Other than that, I like it. Although I'd rather see either darkblast or one that kills the green/white creature in SB. Perhaps a combination.

10 firstdrop mana producer ensures that you always will play a 2nd turn 3 mana spell! and the SB need a lot of work, may have to wait unti a metagme start forming

I'd cut the Birds (no point with no pointies) and the Slivers for one more of each Elf, another Call, and move the Psionic Blasts into the maindeck. They give you reach, for when your game starts to stall out.

You might even try playing with Dimir Cutpurse instead of Vipers, but I haven't played with Vipers outside of limited yet, so I can't really say which is better suited to the deck. My money goes to the Cutpurses, though, just for the two power.

Oh, and until I actually see a dedicated sliver deck that looks even half assed decent, I wouldn't bother playing Plague maindecked, no matter how big it is.

Aside from that, deck looks really good. /sigh... I wish I had weekly tournies in my town still. No new/modified decks for me ; ;.

the reason to play plague sliver isn't against sliver decks. it's because it's a 5/5 for 4...
and don't cut birds it's your best acceleration. i'd try to fit moldervine cloack in there to boost your guys.

10 accelerants are too many. Do the math. With 8, you have a 56/60 shot of having one in your opener. On the draw, it's even closer to a lock. Run 4 Birds and 4 Deep Shadow and get Llanowar out. I you need more answers to permanents.

I would start with this shell:
4 Birds
4 Deep Shadow
4 Hyppie
4 Finkel
1 Viper
4 Mana Leak
4 Last Gasp
4 Putrefy

The numbers on the 3-drops are adjustable. I think Viper is by far the weakest, and I don't think you need 12. I would definitely add Deathmark to the sideboard.

The big weakness I see in this deck is that your entire strategy is based around a turn 1 accelerant into a turn 2 3-drop to produce card advantage. Meanwhile, anyone anywhere can play Dark Confidant to gain the same advantage without twisting the entire deck (as much). I'm not saying that this can't be good, but it just doesn't seem like it's worth the trouble of building your whole deck around a concept when Bob gets you the same thing without needing the attack phase.

I understand that Plague is in there because it's a really big guy, what I'm saying is that it doesn't further your strategy in any way, at least not like another Call would. Call = 2 creatures, one card. Extra creature = card advantage.

Also, Birds... no. Yes, they are good for mana, and good for accelleration. No, they are not good at anything after the second turn. Drop them. And don't bother bringing up that whole 'chump blocking flyers' defense. You'll be drawing cards out the wazoo, just counter or kill anything you can't contain, and when that fails...

... Psionic Blast for the win. Nice finisher at instant speed that is easily protected and doesn't need to sit around for a whole turn with a huge target on it's head, ala Plague Sliver.

If you do have to go with Plague Sliver, for the love of dogs, play three of them. I don't care how many cards this deck draws, two of anything isn't going to be seen with enough consistency to be a statistic. The whole point of a big finisher in an aggro control deck is to get the game over ASAP, and waiting around for eight turns trying to force combat damage through in hopes of drawing your finisher just sucks. ; ;

edit - two posts while trying to sit down and reply... so here goes...

4 Llanowar Elves
4 Elves of Deep Shadow
4 Dark Confident
4 Dimir Cutpurse
4 Hypnotic Specter
4 Mystic Snake

4 Remand
3 Psionic Blast
4 Call of the Herd
4 Putrefy

6 Forest
3 Swamps
1 Island
3 Watery Grave
4 Breeding Pool
4 Overgrown Tomb
