I have yet to test this deck, but after seeing the vindicate deck i had to alter it a bit to this:
4 Cabal Ritual
4 Cabal Therapy
4 Gerrard's Verdict
4 Vindicate
4 Duress
4 Withered Wretch
4 Dark Confidant
4 Meddling Mage
4 Æther Snap
4 Chrome Mox
3 Dark Depths
2 Plains
4 Swamp
3 Hallowed Fountain
4 Godless Shrine
4 Watery Grave
SB: 2 Sword of Fire and Ice
SB: 3 Morningtide
SB: 2 Umezawa's Jitte
SB: 3 Castigate
SB: 2 False Cure
SB: 3 Pithing Needle
As you can prolly see, i control hand for first couple of turns then play dark depths casting the cabal rit. and aether snap, getting a 20/20 ususally on 4-5th turn. For the board i have the tides for ichorid and casigate for anthing combo-esk and false cure- life.dec, jitte and sword are both for the aggro, pithing nettle-obv. and way i was thinking about engineered plague although gobs are rarely seen, now days.
I would like competent feedback and suggestions, if you just say awe look at that pile, keep it to yourself.
Judge question also, does the Aether snap combo with depths to get the 20/20?, if not i have to redo this dang thing.
Later, and thanks |

| I beleive it would work, because Aether Snap is already resolving when it removes the counters, so it wouldnt remove the token as well, correct? |

Lightning greaves to prefent bouncing the token and to let it swing right away?
Edit: Yes, the combo works. Evily, I might add...
The Snap removes the counters, than the Depth's trigger triggers. Snap gets graved, than the trigger goes on the stack. Trigger resolves, 20/20 swings with Greaves. Boo-yah! |

you need more tutoring..and greeves is a very good idea cause its no fun using a land drop and a 5 mana spell for a token to get bounced ...
love the idea though

well, ive went to 3 mox's, 3 rit's and 3 vindicates and added 3 greaves, may go to 2 greaves and add a vindicate back, idk but this deck was not built for the depths to be the only kill condition, if greaves is on the table and you play the snap, if they are playing bounce they will bounce the token in responce to you greaving it, so greaves is really only good for its haste ability.
For tutoring Vodka there is not many "go get a card from your library" in extended that fits this mana curve. and yes really aether snap is out of the curve as well but you do have the ritual to help with it. Also with the bouncing, they shouldnt have anything to bounce or remove the token in thier hand with this deck and even if they do drop a meddling mage to stop that nonsense
well thanks for the welcomed feedback |
