This is by far the best vesion of this deck. Two outlets to return lands to hands, bith with good secondary perks. Plus creature control and board control. A good switching SB, and decent synergy. Suggestions?

//NAME: The Perfect Storm II - FusionFire

// Lands
4 Mountain
8 Island
10 Forest

// Creatures
3 Meloku the Clouded Mirror
4 Sakura-Tribe Elder

// Spells
2 Gigadrowse
4 Electrolyze
4 Seek the Horizon
4 Kodama's Reach
3 Sensei's Divining Top
3 Lightning Storm
4 Life from the Loam
4 Trade Routes
1 Reclaim
2 Wildfire

// Sideboard
SB: 2 Simic Sky Swallower
SB: 3 Bottled Cloister
SB: 2 Blood Moon
SB: 4 Vinelasher Kudzu
SB: 2 Demonfire
SB: 2 Wildfire

Might change out Seek the Horizon for something else, not sure what yet though, maybe carven caryalid, gives a good 2/5 blocker and card replacement. Also survives the wildfire for added security.

hmmm, Uyo is interesting. Not sure about it thought, but i definetly will test it. I had Azura in there for a bit but she really doesn't serve a dual purpose. theres so much creature kill out there it really would die before it could be a good threat with out counter control. But thanks for the ideas and keep them comming.

So if you copy a Lightning Storm with counters on it, does the copy keep the original spell's counters?

Thats a good question Vacancy. Ill have ask....let me check and ill post what they say.

ok, thanks to j4u for the help. The copy only copies the card, not any characteristics of the card. Therefore no charge counters would get copied over. However you could still pitch cards to the copy.

// Deck file for Magic Workstation
//NAME: Untitled Deck

// Lands
4 Mountain
8 Island
10 Forest

// Creatures
3 Meloku the Clouded Mirror
4 Sakura-Tribe Elder
3 Carven Caryatid
2 Uyo, Silent Prophet

// Spells
2 Gigadrowse
4 Electrolyze
4 Kodama's Reach (Debating if this or Seek the Horizon is better)
3 Sensei's Divining Top
3 Lightning Storm
4 Life from the Loam
3 Trade Routes
1 Reclaim
2 Wildfire

// Sideboard
SB: 2 Simic Sky Swallower
SB: 3 Bottled Cloister
SB: 2 Blood Moon
SB: 4 Vinelasher Kudzu
SB: 2 Demonfire
SB: 2 Confiscate

Thanks for the Uyo idea......most players can't hanadle 6 copies on the stack of and if they do hold lands, i just pitch 1 or 2 to each and over load them. also copying reach, life and electrolize akes for a good time and good deck thinning. makes for a good time lol.

2 points:

1. This forum is for t2 legal decks whish this is not (CS is not yes legal)
2. TPS is a vintage deck based around getting a lethal tendrils... as your deck is neither vintage or black and doesn't have any storm cards at all how does this qualify as TPS?

Dude, cut him some slack. If he can't post Coldsnap containing decks in here, where does he put it? Who cares if The Pefect Storm is a Tendirls of Agony, black, combo deck in Vintage? He can call it how he wants...sheesh! Confused

SB: 2 Confiscate

This build is wroking great, but now i am worried a bit about the SB. At first i wanted to be able to switch out some stuff to make it semi-aggro. But it seems to missing something. Heartbeat runs this SB:

3 Savage Twister
2 Meloku the Clouded Mirror
4 Vinelasher Kudzu
3 Iwamori of the Open Fist
1 Umezawa's Jitte
2 Gigadrowse

I already have Giga and Meloku main deck. Should i just basically copy this one and replace the 2 meloku's here with 2 SSS, and the 2 gigadrowse with something eles. Maybe bounce of some type. ideas? Right now i am trying this idea.

SB: 2 Simic Sky Swallower
SB: 2 Bottled Cloister
SB: 2 Blood Moon
SB: 4 Vinelasher Kudzu
SB: 3 Savage Twister
SB: 2 Keiga, the Tide Star

the problem with running nonbasics is that i can't search for them when i need to.....i might run 4 tendo ice bridge since i can bounce them easily. Mana curve has not been a problem in about 30+ games i have tested. But i could see where you think duals might the way to go. As of now it seems this is the most successful version. So far being unbeaten on Apprentice and MWS against Heartbeat, Tron, Husk and Zoo.

// Deck file for Magic Workstation
//NAME: Untitled Deck

// Lands
4 Mountain
6 Island
8 Forest
4 Tendo Ice Bridge

// Creatures
3 Meloku the Clouded Mirror
4 Sakura-Tribe Elder
4 Drift of Phantasm
2 Uyo, Silent Prophet

// Spells
2 Gigadrowse
4 Electrolyze
3 Sensei's Divining Top (might bcome Boomerang)
3 Lightning Storm
3 Life from the Loam
3 Trade Routes
1 Reclaim
2 Wildfire
4 Seek the Horizon

// Sideboard
SB: 2 Simic Sky Swallower
SB: 2 Bottled Cloister
SB: 2 Blood Moon
SB: 4 Vinelasher Kudzu
SB: 2 Keiga, the Tide Star
SB: 3 Savage Twister

The SB has become much stronger now. Giving me a few options to handle the board. Thanks to all that helped out and suggestions still welcome. The one big question i still have is, with a replacement outlet like Trade routes. Is Diving Top still needed, or can it be replaced for something else. Say bounce or kill.

You don't put charge counters on lightning storm until it's resolving, and you can't play spells or abilities while a spell is resolving, so you will never run into that situation.
