Now time and time again, WotC has shown us that the best card in a set is not always a rare or uncommon. So to say "whats the best rare in Coldsnap" would basically be a watse of time. This discussion has hit many a forums across the net and it seems that the MVP for Coldsnap is under strong debate. So....

What do you think is the best card to come out of Coldsnap and why?

idd have to go for Haakon, Sromgald Scourge for the fact i think he will bring BR decks into the t2 picture. good card to discard to drekavac and avatar of discord with reducing the card disadvantage of playing them cards to 0 and 1 card. also once in graveyard a recuring 3/3 for 3 is great
Other mentions would have to go to luminescence for 1 mana you have a good chance to keep your creatures in play vs wildfire.Lightning serpent which is only slightly worse then blistering firecat and ball lightning and is great for a WR control deck with demonfire it gives alot of big dam cards. And last juniper order rangers is great whith cards like supply demand or once dovescape is in play. i see him beening used more then people would think at fist looks.

4/4 for 1W but its cumulative upkeep makes that one useless. the green 5/5 for 2 is great for aggro match ups but vs control is a dead card almost as with no creature to put counters on would mean no cumulative upkeep could be met so i think he is a good sb card to take over once kamigawa goes out as 5/5 for 4 with trample is still better.

ok lets take look here

When Drekavac comes into play, sacrifice it unless you discard a noncreature card.

Reading is fundemental Smile

I suspect that scrying sheet with snow islands, top, telling time might be good. Running any nonland snow would just be gravy.

The 5/5 guy, Forbidden Orchard and the Cytoplast Manipulator Combo well like hell =)
You give him guys which grow and attack with a 5/5 trample.
Then steal his guys (boosted) and finish him =)

TIMMMMMMMMMMYYYYY!!!

Actually, I have seen it happen in Limited and surprised myself. It isn't too Timmy-esque. It goes down.

Best color from this set, prolly white. Best constructed card is the Valkrie, best Limited card is maybe Sunscour.

Oh, and the Koala remake is nice.
