Hi all,
I'm quite new to magic-league here. I don't seem to notice many people playing Highlander (Singleton as known in Magic Online).
If you haven't played Higlander before, you definatly should! The making of the deck very challenging, but the outcome may be very satisfying.
As for people who do play Highlander, I have a decklist here my Highlander decklist. I'm looking for opinions and additional cards.
Here is the list:
//NAME: BUG Highlander
// Lands
1 Treetop Village
1 Faerie Conclave
1 Volrath's Stronghold
1 Watery Grave
1 Breeding Pool
1 Overgrown Tomb
1 Bayou
1 Tropical Island
1 Underground Sea
1 Wooded Foothills
1 Bloodstained Mire
1 Flooded Strand
1 Windswept Heath
1 Polluted Delta
2 Swamp
3 Island
4 Forest
// Creatures
1 Yavimaya Elder
1 Ravenous Baloth
1 Psychatog
1 Will-o'-the-Wisp
1 River Boa
1 Urborg Elf
1 Sakura-Tribe Elder
1 Troll Ascetic
1 Birds of Paradise
1 Eternal Witness
1 Dimir Infiltrator
1 Wall of Blossoms
1 Gaea's Skyfolk
1 Withered Wretch
// Spells
1 Undermine
1 Shred Memory
1 Muddle the Mixture
1 Duress
1 Boomerang
1 Force of Will
1 Counterspell
1 Consult the Necrosages
1 Putrefy
1 Recoil
1 Diabolic Edict
1 Telling Time
1 Impulse
1 Brainstorm
1 Demonic Tutor
1 Chainer's Edict
1 Naturalize
1 Smother
1 Regrowth
// Artifacts and Enchantments
1 Sword of Fire and Ice
1 Umezawa's Jitte
1 Scrabbling Claws
Currently, there are 59 cards (haven't thought of sideboards yet).
Any ideas what the 60th should be? Or how about help me piece together the sideboards?
Thankz all,
BopBob |

Really? I'm not aware of that. I've been to a Highlander tourney in Australia, I played a 60 Highlander deck. There wasn't any problems, nor did anyone else have a minimum of 100 card decks.
Can anyone official confirm that Highlander must have a 100 cards minimum?
Thankz |

I've always thought highlander was 60 minimum, not 100. Never heard of Singleton, anyway. However, since it's not a supported format, who is the authority deciding which is which?
Anyway, if you want to make a game with me sometime, I have a 60 card Highlander deck I really enjoy to play, just look for me in #workstation in the evening (GMT +1) and during the weekends. |

| Well, I played at a PS-masters, and there the req was 100 cards, 1 of each except for basic land. Singleton is the 60 card version. |

Singleton is 60. Highlander is traditionally 100 minimum, but 80 is used frequently as well. For a while, Extended Highlander was a somewhat popular format on here. The judges that ran it either are no longer part of m-l or just don't run it anymore. It's a shame, because I was undefeated lifetime in that format here and back at e-league. |

| I find singleton a GREAT format, however I really think tendrils of agony should be banned.. simply too powerful, and not having 4 dark ritual does not stop TPS-like decks. Many people think also Darksteel colossus should get the axe, but this is far more debatable. |
