This round was suggested to me by someone...can't remember who.

For this round, your deck MUST have exactly ONE common, ONE uncommon, and ONE rare. If a card is common in one set and uncommon in another, for example, it can count for either. Take note: I'm probably going to be using the rarity values given in Apprentice as reference.

BASIC LANDS CAN SUPERCEDE ANY OF THE 3 SLOTS (i.e., you can substitute a basic land for a rare, uncommon, or common).

Banned list:
Unglued AND UNHINGED
Black Lotus
Mesmeric Fiend
Nezumi Shortfang
Blackmail
Chain of Smog
Cabal Therapy
Encroach
Mind Swords
Brain Pry
Anvil of Bogardan
Strip Mine
Wasteland
Ghost Quarter
The Rack
Balance
Meddling Mage
Glacial Chasm

What is 3cb?

3-Card Blind (3CB) is a very unique game. The rules are as follows

Your deck is composed of 3 cards, all of which start in your hand.
You have no library (technically, the library exists, but starts at 0 cards) and no sideboard (Wishes fetch nothing).
Random effects always go in your opponent's favour.
You can see your opponent's hand, so you can always make the best possible play.
You don't lose as a result of not being able to draw a card.
You will play each opponent twice, once going first, once going second.
For each win, you score 3.
For each draw, you score 1.
For each loss, you get nothing.
Other than the aforementioned, EVERYTHING IS HANDLED EXACTLY LIKE A REAL GAME OF MAGIC!

To make an entry, PM your deck to me (GRAH) in the following format:

Subject: 3cb Tournament Entry or 3cb Tournament Revision
Deck Name
Card #1
Card #2
Card #3

(For those who don't know, you don't actually play, you just send the decks and, because of the way the rules work, it's easy for me to compute results.)

If you have any format ideas, tell me!

Hey, just a quick random question, why is glacial chasm banned? It seems like you would always lose with it if you played it, especially since you need to sacrifice a land for it to even stay in play. The cumulative upkeep just kills you while your opponent sits there, and you can't attack.

Sorry if I'm missing some sort of master deck, I'm just curious.

Heh. The broken deck is Workshop, Jinxed Choker, Chasm. Apparently, it's mathematically sound.

Hmm...

a1: workshop, choker (20,20)
b1: take 1 (20,19)
a2: take 2, put counter on, chasm (18, 19)
b2: take 4 (18, 15)
a3: lose 2 (16, 15)
b3: take 6 (16,9)
a4: lose 4 (12, 10)
b4: take 8 (12,2)
a5: lose 6 (6, 2)
b5: take 10 (6,-8 )

Yeah, I guess so.

Yeah, but I just c/ped the normal ban list.

Btw, Bweebwee, it goes like this.

Turn 1: Workshop, Choker
Oppo takes 1 (19)
You take 2, play Chasm (18)
Oppo takes 3 (16)
You take 4 (14)
Oppo takes 5 (11)
You take 6 (8)
Oppo takes 7 (4)
You let Choker resolve first, then don't pay the cumulative upkeep. (8)
Oppo takes 9 (-5)

Well, if GRAH got it wrong, then neither of us got it right, beacuse I just realized that you can't put a counter on the choker with the workshop. I was under the impression that it was for artifact spells and artifact abilities, but it's just spells.
