I have been wondering when/if wizards will reprint Tormod's Crypt.

Please respond with your thoughts and idea's for what would happen if they reprinted Tormod's Crypt.

As nice as it would be to see Crypt come back to life. I think it might have as much chance as Tombstone Stairwell, or Illusions of Grandeur.

Then again, that might just be me wanting them to bring back Cumulative Upkeep as a Mechanic with sick abilities!

many cards which do partially what crypt does have been printed. I doubt crypt will be reprinted because its very good at what it does, and cheaper than it should be.

never. It way too powerful. (in a match where that effect would be significat anyways)

IF they do reprint it it will be in a set that has NOTHING to do with gaveyards. If it was printed in a set that used it in the least it would be too powerful.

i wouldnt mind seeing a watered down version of it to nerf dredge a bit a little bit in extended

it wouldnt suprise me if they reprinted something more like Scrabbling Claws though.

Crypt will never ever be reprinted. It was originally made in Antiquities when graveyards were not an issue and Wizards didn't have the foresight that in 20 sets or so threshhold, dredge, and flashback would exist and graveyards would be a big deal. It's one of those cards that would never be made if they had a time machine since every color is not meant to have access to a card that will remove the entire graveyard in one swing.

Do you think Lightning Bolt will ever be reprinted? For example in 95th edition? And what about Black Lotus?

It was actually originally in 'the dark', but ur point is still proven.

Oh Indeed. Anyways as you said my point stands. The only things it hosed then were...
1: Timetwister foolishness.
2: Regrowth foolishness.
3: Animate Dead.
4: Feldon's Cane Foolishness.
5: Recall.
Nowaday's the list of things it hoses would be longer then this entire thread so far. So in short Crypt will never be reprinted. Even a version that cost 2 to play 2 to activate and removed all graveyards would probobaly be considered overpowered at this point. The funniest thing about this poll is the lack of a 10 years ago option because that is the first/last time Crypt will ever be reprinted, and just be happy it was reprinted in Chronicles or else Crypt would probobaly be the most expensive card from the Dark (where it was an uncommon as opposed to it's common reprint in Chronicles) it already is the most useful.

Hahahahahahaha, funny.
Tormod was a character, I highly doubt they will reprint Crypt. They tried recently (see Leyline of the Void) but some attempts should be forgotten...
