anyone ever here of OCTGN?
Well let me give you a slight introduction...

OCTGN is basically a cooler version of MWS, with multiplayer.
Not just does it allow you to actually play other games like Poker, it allows probably the dream features ML players have wanted since MWS came out.

Were talking:
-Multiplayer
-Spectator Mode
-A draft and Sealed Generator all in the same damn prog
-Multi language versions
-Oh and its free...not MWS free where you are spammed to death and
limited on options...were talking Appr free.

Don't belive me?

So why aren't we using this god prog? Well, thats what I'm asking...

It doesnt have patches, you have to find them yourself. That is a big issue.

Yeah, but i tried it. And i must add, it is even harder and not-so-intuitive to use.

It seems like something I'd consider using instead of MWS, while still using Apprentice the majority of the time.

MWS lovers, please disregard this statement.

The biggest problem is finding the patch which actually needs to be found through http://thepiratebay.org/ a torrent site...

Its like hell to dl it when you do find it, I'm thinking of getting a team togther and making a new patch, for the use of ML, if the staff accepts the idea.

Torrent sucks

i'm willing to bet the people who voted yes have never used it and just voted because of the promise of multiplayer.

it sounds good in theory, but in practice, its unworkable. the interface is even worse than MWS if you can believe that, its incredibly unintuitive and there are few if any guides on how to use it. i tried to get my group to use it for multiplayer before but no success at all.

if you want to try it its cardfloppers.com or something like that; good luck finding someone. there were all of 12 people in channel when i went there before...

even my own channel has more than that fairly regularly :/

One can easily find Octgn 3, and the bases and patches with Google... It's actually a whole lot simpler than MWS.

Just Google Octgn and go to the .info site, the Google Octgn games Magic the Gathering. A site called GamersJudgment should come up in your results that hosts about 30 various card games for Octgn, one of which being MtG (available via Torrent or Direct Download).

On the .info site you will find basic instructions on how to install games. Everything you need is available through GamersJudgment.

Reason why M-L doesn't use it? Open Source, hacks.
