Ive been testing both these decks for the past week now, and have had equal results with both... and i know Ghost Husk should beat Gruul but, if they are equal, does it matter which i play? I am expecting a mixed aggro and control metagame for regionals so which should i play? and im asking seriously now, so snide comments about pick it yourself blah blah blah
if you could help then it would be great Wink

gruul and husk are faily even. 40-60 in favor of hust.
ghost dad is like 80-20 vs gruul. husk does better vs other b/w decks and cause of promise, can beat control decks a bit better. gruul does better vs izzet tron and heartbeat. so depends what your think meta is going to be.

i personaly wopuld chose gruul cause thats what im going to play at regionals
true it does do alittle bad to ghostdad but my gruul is altered to get rid of the talowisp and early threats so ghost dad and ghost husk shouldnt be a problem for me i also play flashfires in side just in case u no turn 4 kill all ur plains not bad even if they have stuff oin the feild ther down now 2-3 land and there stuck with only black which doesnt help them at all ohh what they will play a rusulka oh no a 1/1 while im dropping threat after threat and they go scoop i also have volcanic hammer main which will get ride of alot of there threats so i would play gruul at regionals good luck

ghost/dad/husk whatever is better vs control mainly due to castigate + distress + okiba gang (depending on what you play), plus kami of ancient law + mortify > heartbeat, and if heartbeat switches to aggro from combo g2, you still have promise + pontiff + husk + mortify + etc.

I have been wondering about this myself. I think B/W is slightly stonger overall, but if you expect a lot of Gruul Beats at regionals, I would try something completely different, since any build of B/W (Hand in Hand, Ghost Dad, Agrro) is at a slight disadvantage to Gruul. Personally, I think Hand in Hand is the best deck to go into this type of metagame, as it still has game against aggro, and control and heartbeat don't want to see castigate and okiba-gang.

I lean towards gruul to be honest. I think it proubly has a better match up against control while the husk decks have a better time against agro.

go husk, gruul won the last big event, and people will be expecting the list

also change something about your husk decklist, there is nothing better than knowing every card in your opponents deck

ive heard from a friend, a lot of the format will be aggro. I can change my list to pwn aggro in my gruul deck, like Slums and Jitte.
However, husk already does well against aggro and wont need changing at all.
I think a small pportion of players will be playing guild decks like rakdos aggro, azorious skies simic control etc.
So im gonna get testing all of today (well pretty much) to see what does better against certain types:
UW control
Ghost Dad
Ur izzetron
Mirror
Guild decks
GGG
husk vs grrul
anyhitng else i should really test against?
