Stop crying about this, its only a thematic non-working deck! |
Actually it works fine. It works very well. It owns a good amount of its matchups. Please don't talk anymore, you're making yourself look more retarded with each passing statement. Same goes for you, rods.
This deck is NOT just a mass-removal/counter deck. It's a THEMED deck, genius. Do you understand that word? It has a strategy and follows this strategy. I built this deck using Zur's Weirding and went from there. If I wanted to be lazy I would build another boring aggro deck. This is NOT a normal deck...
God... I really hate repeating myself but come on man. At least READ what other people say. You've been disproved of your statements time and time again and yet you relentlessly make more uninformed, unintelligent, idiotic, childish comments. Please stop talking on my topic or I'll have to have you removed. -.- You're not making any sense whatsoever... you're just wasting space on my topic and I'd appreciate it if you stopped. |

Yes I did. I shot it down.
Also, please state where I said anything about not caring. I didn't. I obviously care or I wouldn't still be arguing with people.
So does anyone on this forum besides Flippi actually have anything constructive to say? |

ok u got some counters, Dropping compulsive would be a total idiot move, they offer card advantage filtering and of course a way to almost force wierd them. Also, I know what a lock is, and the 3 color is simply better, it has more ability to stablize and has a better way to to end the game if all else fails. Also what do you plan to do once they know you're running wierding? People then know whnat to expect. Having red in there allows for you to swap out Searing Meditation in order to control the game a but better and keep a lock going via wraths and counters. While consistantly dealing damage to your opponent via the firemanes. As far as the mana base goes, hmm what kind of format is this, oh yeah! a format wth duals and painlands and karoos and mana fixing out the wazoo! With a diverse mana base like that, it's not hard to get the 3 colors without green to fix it.
Lastly, don't disrespect anyone like you did me, simply stating an opinion, no need to act like a 10 yr old ygo player who doesn't know how to play. Big deal, have you tryed the 3 color? give that a shot if you havn't trust me, it's more stable than the 2 color. |

Excuse me, but duals or not a 3-color mana base is NOT stable. If it was, no one would run Gruul because there's Zoo. Plus, have you heard of Blood Moon? Yeah, it's real good. Actually it takes a 3-color-deck and even if they're running red suddenly half or more of their deck consists of dead cards.
I don't see at all how I disrespected you. I proved that what you said was wrong, that's all. If I wanted to disrespect you I would've said something like, "Listen here, Buttking87..." Understand? I've played Firemane Weirding and it's really not that good. I don't run this deck anymore anyway... I'm playing a much more fun deck now that rapes just about everything, including both versions of this deck. |

That's a pretty sweeping statement that i'd say is mostly false. A 3 color mana base running approximately 10 sources of each color (meaning roughly 6 multi-producing lands, and 24 total) is quite likely to have all 3 colors by turn 3. And then that's even assuming that you don't have any way to draw cards or fix your mana, or just simply play off two colors until you get the third.
3 colors can be completely stable, but running too many nonbasics is a common mistake. Another problem is that people get very mulligan happy in 3 color decks. Though, I'd be fairly apt to agree that 3 color aggro decks specifically will generally be less consistent than 2 color ones, since they rely so much on good tempo. For control decks, it hardly matters. |

Honestly, you were the one who brought disrespect. You came in telling him it wasn't tier one, which in the way you put it didn't seem very respectful, and forcing a deck on him, yelling that it's better. He asked for an opinion on his deck, not sugestions on what to play.
As for the deck, I will agree it isn't tier one and a third color does help. Although Blood Moon is a threat, it isn't something to be completely feared. Chances they draw it when 3 are usually played on the sideboard, I've seen few decks with 4 and many with even less, their chamces of drawing them pre lockdown or win condition played is unlikely, and even if they do it is easily countered. I'm a Johnny at heart, though, so definately love the basic idea to the deck.
As for the ones who have disrespected both this thread and its starter, you really seem immature. Honestly if you can't look at a deck and critisize it like a human being you have no right being part of the Magic community |

I personally never understood why. |

oye vey
when one states his opinion, others shout out and try to prove them wrong, thats the whole reason forums are there....in some peoples views. I should not have to tell anyone here that I wasn't 1) yelling 2) forcing a deck on a person or 3) being immature. First off, I asked if he had tryed the 3-color and stated I felt it more stable and that it had a better chance of getting a win. Also, Blood moon = no threat, u simply keep counter mana open after sideboard, and honestly not many decks are running it. If they get it in play, big deal, u just drop one of the few basic islands u have into play and wierding off lol.
As a final thought, namecalling is really immature man, now I really wonder if you are in 3rd grade.
Also now that I'm curious, what deck are you running that pwns both versions discussed here? |
