There has been at lot of discussion and articles about regionals lately but none of them are actually interesting. In ym opinion regionals are going to be flooded with janky rogue decks that seem to do well in local t2 and of course with the standard tier 1 and 2 decks. But in my opinion 3 decks will top 8 in all regionals. Those decks will be hand and hand, izzetron (w/ wildfire of course), and ghost dad. St lot of people disagree with me aout ghost dad but even outside the m-l meta there is a bundle of bw and gruul beats. Ghost dads only worst matchup is vore and owl but both decks are dead do to the card spell snare. As for hand and hand it speaks for itself having good matchups vs all aggro and has a better chance vs control than ghost dad. And izzetron beats all control and its only real auto loss is gruul beats. So post what you think will be seen at regionals i aam very curios about other peoples thoughts and opinions.

ps. ill be playing at the CT regionals along with void06 and stryfe.

no u/w skies, no wgb, no vore, no owl, no gifts, no greater good, no zoo, no gruul, no niv-mizzet?

Tons and tons of people are gonna play aggro-control is many forms.

Theres gonna be a shitload of gruul for sure. Less zoo, and even less bwg. Greater good will be almost rougue

grull will stomp regionals for sure with all the control and aggro decks gruul will be the best choice if u want to win. gruul auto beats control and combo and against other aggro deck gruul is the best zoo is alright but gruul is more constistant and wil stomp regionals

if ppl play control at regionals they want to lose. there are going to be so many aggro decks at regionals that control will never make top 100 let alone top 8 aggro deck are going to stomp at regionals

well, that doesn't make any sense. you're actually very wrong. control traditionally beats aggro, and the control in this environment (though based off of mostly expensive spells) will undoubtedly perform at least as good as aggro decks, if not better.

the problem is that with control you must have correct answers. to quote dave price "there are no wrong threats, only wrong answers". in this environment there is a lot of room for wrong answers, but i believe that there is a control deck out there that not only competes on a high level, but that only has trouble with a few CARDS in the current type two card pool.

all of that being said, aggro control will likely out-do both aggro and control. control will take at least as many top 8 spots as aggro, but if you're including aggro-control in your aggro percentages (which you would be wrong to do) that of course aggro will take more. 'nuff said.

The only time Ghost Dad is gonna top 8 is when it gets great matches all day.

so... Sea Stompy is better than all of the control and aggro decks? ... nope

yup, most successful deck on MODO. Being able to top 8 more times than any other deck probably means that it'll top 8 Regionals a couple times.

Heartbeat is one of a couple great decks. I don't think it got Steroids, though, I think it got a couple maybes. Would you replace Kodama's Reach or Drift of Phantasms with Voidslime? I don't know about that. Is sideboarding Research vs. Extraction great? No, it's okay.
