Number one, anthem is NOT good, i'd say it would be fair-decent in limited. Pit dragon, while decent, is not good enough for red to play (unless its mono red zoo). Hellbent is good but still does not outweigh card advantage.
And compucraxy, ur definatly NOT overreacting. I will splooge when i get that card!

Sligh doesn't give a fuck about card advantage, this is what sligh does.

Turn one, they still have 20 life? Shit.
Turn two, they still have 20 life? Shit.
Turn three, are they dead yet?
Turn four, ARE THEY DEAD YET!?
Turn five, KILL MUST KILL!
Turn six, FINALLY I HAVE KILLED THE MAGE!

Sligh does not care about card advantage, just your life total, plus card advantage doesn't matter too much when a double striking dragon hits you in the face for 20.

Yeah, I'd say if ANYTHING, sligh wants to empty its hand and kill fast fast fast. It just wants to play a good threat every turn. It's like RDW almost I suppose.

And thats why sligh has always been a great magic deck and wins consistantly. Whats that you say?, Sligh hasn't had serious play for an entire year becuase it loses vs anything and the meta has given it nothing? And RDW only has won vs internet meta? Huh...

Hellbent is a good RED mechanic actually, since red runs out of steam very fast, this dragon will be the last drop they make, or second to last then swinging for ungodly numbers of damage.

There are a few things that get rid of this creature, char, and helix. That's it...imagine a firebreathing 3/3 double striker? Pay R to deal two damage, it's like a damn shock on a stick.

Ahem...

Last Gasp... Putrefy... Mortify... Wrath of God... Char... Lightning Helix... Volcanic Hammer... Umezawa's Jitte... Kokusho... Yosei... Pillory of the Sleepless... Faith's Fetters... Hinder... Mana Leak... Rewind... Confiscate...

Not saying its a bad card. This applies to any creature. ('cept untargettables.)

No creature can kill this once it has double strike online, just pump it twice and it can kill anything in the meta before it even TOUCHES it.
