i think if you added white it would slow down owl wayyy to much.....everything in owl is used to get your owl or for your oppent to keep cards in his hand...though...i dont recall what the SB in owl is so you might be able to add white in sideboard

why is owling mine UR? two cards, Kami of the Crescent Moon and Sudden Impact. The stalling just isnt cutting the mustard against aggro... I say, cut all the blue mess and go stronger red, or heck, THREE color. Keep whats red and worth your time, splash blue for crescent moon, then add a lil somethin somethin. I'd say black but its just my favorite color (not to mention the more permentant fixes like las gasp).

maybe because boomerangs, eye of nowheres, remands, evacuations and etc can make the opponent have more cards in hand for bigger sudden impact damage.

This deck originated from the old UB Draw deck ... at least thats how I ended up with this deck. The old one was blue black, b/c of the # of counters combined with cards like megrim and underworld dreams that allowed drawing to equal damage. With UR, it opened its room for direct burn. When 9th ed came out with Sudden Impact, it fit perfect for the deck, thus black was dropped and red was added, making this deck now UR. With that 8 burn, 4 counters that keep cards in your opponents hand, 4 crappy timewalks(exhaustion), with burn, and even more draw power has made this deck quite powerful. I don't know if i can title this deck as tier 1, but it has shown its clear impact in this years t2

Btw puffy kitty, you are a complete douche to think you could cut blue, and leave red with splashed with two other crap colors for this deck

i say, rather than playing adamaro that is a win more card against control but a tiny little thing against aggro, we should play decendant of kiyomaro instead. our hands will be bigger against aggro (but smaller against control deck), thus ensuring him having the spirit link ability. just sb out the mine and owl against aggro, put in DoK and thread of disloyalty and ride the long game.

there's that artifact creature that you can keep putting +1/+1 counters on for 2UW, so I think Owl is going to be an archtype that is going to stay.
