| I like the maindeck ruel played better, gigadrowse is hot. Neither sideboards look overly hot though. |

| The problem with owl now is that with it gaining hype as the underdog at the tournie, with 2 poping up in the top 8, the hype has caused alot of noobs to start running it, making those who actually are smart to run more aggro, and the noobs to get into mirror matches. This deck is as good as scrub, even though i love the deck its pretty clear that the field is going to be alot stronger on aggro |

| the only thing the deck beats is control decks that dont run blue. like seriously the deck isnt good. all colors have answer to it.the deck loses unless it gets an early owl or sudden impact with twin. the deck absolutly hates discard or weenies, so guess what colors pwn it. o and any deck that loses to a turn 1 2/x is garbage. especially in a format where some decks run about 11 of them |

| I can't really agree with you ... the deck's clear problem is Aggro, especially Gruul beats and zoo which dominate this deck even more. The hype around PT honolulu have made aggro even more played... i don't know how this deck is going to be able to survive. I've switched had to switch to BW discard cuz not only is it good, but its decent against all decks making it a nice choice. THis on the other hand is all against control. The most it can do against aggro is kill tempo, more like slow the tempo |

| The guys playing this last week were only playing the odds. If they got lucky and play < 4 aggro decks they could top 8. Thats what they did and thats what happened. Random.newb cannot do this at FNM because there are only 4-5 rounds. |

| I completely understand... im just saying, as long as you get to go first, you still have a chance with this deck no matter what you're playing against.... it has answers, and post side-board it has even more answers to aggro.... especially zoo, since EVERY creature costs 2 or less for the most part (minus dr. phil, if you play him) 4 threads sideboard works pretty well i heard... pyroclasm works too, plus with gigadrowse/exhaustion and evacuation..... see where im going with this? the deck still works, its just a much harder matchup |

wah wah wah i hear the critics of this deck cry it doesint use a cad that costs 15 or more dollars as its win wha wah wah it doesint use a card that everyone used its new and original and actually has had some success o it cant beat zoo then build it so it can and make it your own idea and make some profit instead of whining about its weaknensess even affinity had its weaknesses proven by the fact that not everyone played it there was at least 2 decks out there that stood a regular chance against affinity.
so in closing stop whining about the decks weaknesess you pricks and do something to fix it because if you beat everyone to the punch then at the very least you get he credit |

| It's funny how hard this deck sucks. All the noobs come out of the woodwork and claim it CAN beat aggro, but while noones looking they go netdeck gruul from worlds and hope for the best. Simple fact this deck will never be > Good Aggro. Now PT came along and gave good aggro to everyone so this deck is exposed for the POS it is. Thank you Kird Ape. Someone will undoubtably come along and cry about this simple truth and claim this deck is nuts because they top 4'd at FNM with it or something lame like that but I ask them to show real results with this deck against good aggro... |

even tought i like the deck i have been play testing it and it really doesnt stand a chance against agro..only if its a rwg with a real bad start.. like the one craig had in honolulu. U can control them usem gigadrowse+exhaustion if u get to have such luck.Dunt try the meloku approach cause itll onlymake ur sb strategy weaker.
But then again it really beats the crap out of control decks and thats prolly the main reason agro was so succesful at honolulu.
Aggro>Turbo Stasis(Antoines Owl)>Control>Aggro
Should more aggro start appearing on the meta control will be the one winning the tournaments cause owl deck will be owned. Sould control get out of control owl will be the one taking the first places. |

Ruels said they Owl cant beat Agro, i tend to believe them since they are the pros. Just think about it...gruul and Zoo tend to ditch their hands turn 4/5? if you make them draw more cards (2 or 3 a turn) they can easy play 2 of those a turn leaving them with A card in there hand. *impact for 1* ouch.... *pass turn* Attack for 14. *game* By adding more draw affects you just give aggro more gas. owl just cant keep up. EVEN IF they can stop the creature attacking, and stabilize the board, they still have an uber hard time getting cards stack up up in opponents hand to impact them for a win. On top of that aggro still has burn to just burn though ur wall of defenders.
i suppose owl could beat aggro SOMETIMES, but not consistently enough to say it does beat aggro. In Owls pluses though, it does totally rock slow control decks (BW). so it really depends on meta. |

I tried to be as nonflammable as possible put its very hard when talking about this topic. Plz see my last thread on this subject.... "STOP POSTING UR SHITTY OWL DECKLISTS" |
I hope this guy feels like a complete fool. The deck is what it is, it crushes control and loses to aggro. Two in the Top 8 of a PT, it's quite obviously not shit. |

Well since its a thread that should be more bout making this stronger... in order words woop aggro, the best results i've seen are with
SB:
3 Blood Moon
4 Volcanic Hammer
4 Char
4 Yamabushi's Flame
Oddly enough, i win bout 2 of every 5 matches against zoo, and 1 out of every 5 against zoo, i do know those odds are crap. But from what i've seen its whats helped me the most. Plus when this deck goes first, always bounce the land back to hand, that always kills aggro's tempo and yet at the same time puts you in a better position 2 lands to 0. And Volcanic hammer, boomerang, eye of nowhere, first turn drops and 2nd turn drops are always key. If you manage to drop blood moon v. zoo by 3rd turn the game is over basically. Gruul is more tough for me though, by mid game i'm always at extremly low life and have to hope for one of my 3 evacs MD to stall or an exhuastion. Without those i'd be a goner, but occasionally i manage to win game 1, almost never game 2, and game 3 is up for anyone especially if i'm going first. |
