u can kill top with removal and i already explaned that with putrify in another thread. basically u have to respond to them taping it for a draw with a artifact killer. as i already said it doesnt happen alot, but it CAN happen. Unlike terroring a blinking spirit, since they can just in repond return it again, since its a tap ability it cant but done twice a turn.
and spliter was wondering if it work when they responded by toping it on top of library if u still would be able to search the hand, gaveyard and libraby for other copys, if so, it would work. i dont think it works, but id like to know the answer from some one who knows what their talking about.
any player + little experience = knows you CAN kill a top SOMETIMES |

Yep. Good luck with that. Also with Splinter, no legal target on resolution = no search, I'm awful with rulings though, so you might not want to quote that.
For the record any removal at sorcery speed will rarely kill a Top. It's possible but it's also POSSIBLE to kill a Blinking Spirit if your opponent is as stupid as that who would let you kill a Top with Splinter. |

But eradicate does have its up sides over cranial:
1. like....
2. um.....
3. acting as a 2nd cranial for non-black creatures only that are in play?
4. allowing you to play 4 cranials and 4 eradicates? man, that would be funny in a good matchup.
You honestly can't think of a situation where Eradicate is better than Cranial? Well let's say there's a Yosei/Keiga/Ryusei in play. Are you going to...
a: Cranial it away?
b: Mortify it
c: StP it
d: Eradicate it
I'm thinking... not Cranial, because that won't remove it from play. Probably not Mortify because then I'm about to get my ass handed to me. StP... now that sounds sexy, but it's not in type 2. Eradicate? Eradicate? That's pretty hot, I dunno why I didn't think of that before
anyways, if you Splinter a top and they activate it, Splinter counters itself. If a spell has 1 or more targets, and all targets become invalid, it counters itself. |

needle the top
have erad in sb if your deck might need it
sowing salt in sb but i useable against most decks
quash is just awesome, a hard counter for 4 that removes from game
scour is useful but not necessary (tempest of light)
splinter is definitely good sb material, mainly cos of jitte
cranial is a powerful card but better against some decks than others
all of the above except sowing salt make your opponents land ratio higher, which in theory means they will draw less threats |
