do you see the non sequitur in this sentence?

For this deck's mana to be good enough you would need

14 red sources
12 black sources
14 Green sources
12 White sources

And that is the bare minimum to make it consistent enough to be competitive.

Yeah. I'm working on the mana base. It's a struggle between # of sources and # of CIPT. Maybe just need 4 Mana confluence. The life swing of siege rhino with the card advantage of wrath and or anger of gods is some of the best things you can be doing in this format besides powering out hornet queens and hydras

The deck is undeniable powerful. I think you can run 25-26 lands when your running courser and 6 drops, this might help solve your problem. You want to look at lowering the curve where you can, with out sacrificing to much power. You can normally get away with running 7-8 cpt tapped lands if i remember correctly that is what cruel control always ran and that deck was heavily tested and won a gp or a pt i can't remember which.

I like most the numbers in this deck. 3 elspeth has always felt optimal to me, and I've never been a fan of 4 of a legend so 2 polukranos feels good.

I don't understand 3 anger, your curve is very high as it is, anger turn 3 seems like the key play to buy you enough time vs aggro to me.

Of course i'm right. I'm awesome. Smile

Narcisism aside, I'm not sure if Anger of Gods is still needed in maindeck. Sarkhan didn't convince me at all. I can think of Font of Fertility as great card for this 4-drop heavy deck.

Why? I'm not playing type 2 atm are you playing caytird instead? Or does aggro just not exist. I Don't see how you beat aggro with out it?

Caryatid is too much of a dead draw. Was running 3 but really just found myself not wanting to draw them. Not jumping the curve isn't a huge problem with this deck. Same thing with Anger-- found myself just drawing it too much. 3 magma jet 3 anger 4 courser 4 seige rhino is enough to consistently halt aggro. sarkhan is better than stormbreath dragon to me because it is more versatile and takes pressure off me.

the thoughtseize/despise package may be the first thing to go. They could become +1 land, +1 caryatid, +1 magma jet, +1 anger, +2 lightning strike

Right you really need to start reading thing's more carefully, your starting to look stupid now. First the post where i ask about modo and you repsond with a post about normal magic.

Now this. The deck does not have 8 wrath effects. If your removing anger of the god's from the main deck which is what I was talking about. It does not even have 4. Plus a 6 drop wrath effect, can easily be to slow to stop aggro.

she's good for her 0 ability , generating card advantage. picking off mystics rattle claws then taking 5 damage away from you, or pushing thru damage late game 2 win..
