Welcome to a type 2 format where Aristocrats are tier 1 and they have a handful 1 toughness creatures.
This has encouraged many to sideboard izzet staticaster and many other easy powerful ways to answer 1 toughness creatures.

Young Pyromancer may be the most inconsistant stick any format has ever seen.

Good players will be easily capitalizing this new meta if you think a 2/1 that makes 1/1s is a playable card what so ever.

Personally id stick to your 2/2 without haste for GW that costs 30-40$.

Type 2 way to easy now <3333

Pyromancer is over-hyped, I say it from the very beginning...

Muta vault now theres a card to get excited about. Manland's are repeat offenders in the decks that were so broken they led to banning's.

Pyromancer will see play alot of it I think(opinion).

Pyromancer to make effective it takes one trigger and pyromancer is worth playing after that he becomes card advantage real quick. Decks that utilizes creature tokens will use him modern I haven't seen a brw token deck in a while.

Btw the 3gg Kolian hydra or what ever will see ALOT OF type 2 play with unleash being a good reason.

Witchstalker is good for bant atm and any green deck for sb.

and the new angel
lifelink and triggers gotta love those.

The angel is a big target for removal. Pyromancer is just meh and rolls over to all the mass removal in this meta.

If you want to win type 2, you still gotta contend with sphinx's revelation and the other GOOD cards.

Also, Aristocrats is like tier 1.5. It is a great archetype, but is pretty narrow in functionality.

People were hyping Pyromancer? I thought everyone thought it was meh.

If I wanted to make tokens, I'd play Assemble the Legion.

it is meh but for 1R and you get a creature and a token next turn then after that you get lots of tokens. At most opp will waste removal to get it off the board asap.

He's pretty solid in some kind of tempo deck, him + a bunch of cheap interaction spells can make your board get out of control, problem is no tempo decks in standard. Maybe some Izzet Delver Deck could be possible with
4 Delver
4 Pyromancer
4 Snapcaster
4 Phoniex

looks pretty good on paper, but man this format has come creatures that are just a pure beating against you if they resolve.

Uh. The only situation where casting Young Pyromancer on turn 2 results in you winning 2 turns later is if, on turn 3, you cast a Nivix Cyclops or a Guttersnipe, and on turn 4 you swing for 20. And in both those scenarios, Young Pyromancer is superfluous, so... Why not run good cards that serve a function instead? o.o
