Make a card that changes the color of a card (either itself or other cards) that does something exciting and new with that design space.

Judging will be based on how excited I am by the idea behind the card as well as how printable the card is (appropriate rarity & power level). I always tend to overvalue flavor when I like it, so I'm only going to use flavor as a tiebreaker between equal scores.

Judging will happen sometime this weekend.

Ethereal Traveler | {No Mana Cost}
Legendary Otherworldly (Mythic)

If Ethereal Traveler is in your library, you may begin the game with it on the battlefield.

Opponent's spells cost 2 less to play.

Whenever you cast a green spell, Ethereal Traveler becomes a 2/2 green bear creature until end of turn.

Whenever you cast a red spell, Ethereal Traveler deals 1 damage to target player.

Whenever you cast a blue spell, Ethereal Traveler exiles the top 2 cards from target player's library.

Whenever you cast a white spell, you may gain 2 life.

Whenever you cast a black spell, target player discards a card and you lose life equal to it's casting cost.

---------------------------------------------------------

Otherworldly cards are full-text cards because the frail perception of man cannot comprehend such a construct. They count as permanents.

Shimmering Shackles 2 W/U W/U

Enchantment Rare

Whenever a player casts a spell, you may tap target permanent that shares a color with it.

Other tapped permanents have no colors or abilities.

I'm unsure exactly how the second ability should be worded. Would "lose all colors and abilities" work, or would that make the effect last even after the permanents untap? I also specified "other permanents" to stop it from creating a paradox if it becomes tapped, but not 100% sure that is necessary.

Anyway, I think this is a cool defensive card that can mitigate your opponent's color-dependant shenanigans. It's hard to judge how powerful this card is, it definitely depends on the environment. But I think the mana cost is appropriate, given that a card like this wouldn't be printed unless it were fairly relevant in its set.

This belongs in a "Colour Matters" block, with lots of colour specific effects and additional benefits for creatures of multiple colours.

Iscayan, the Monomorphist 2UU

Legendary Creature - Human Wizard (mythic)

Flying

Whenever ~ deals damage to a player you may pay U any amount of times. If you do that many permanents of your choice become blue in addition to their other colors.

At the beginning of your upkeep, if all permanents are blue, you win the game.

Sootveil Dancer BR
Creature - Elemental R
As long as Sootveil Dancer is on the battlefield, spells and permanents are colorless instead of their own colors.
She puts a veil on your eyes, she's the one to blame.
You're fully hypnotized now and nothing will be the same.

You may use it against color hate or against your opponent strategy based on colors.
