| Do not like aggro, do not like miracles. Cube is very different to normal drafting jitte is not such a big bomb and I rarely go red, whilst i am almost always blue in cube and bad players first explanation of things is luck. |

I really do not think niz is very good in cube, as i did not have many threats I was trying to play threats that i could always get value out of rather than simply die to a mortify and have the same value as savanah lions.
I think one thing people need to realize with cube is it's not like real drafting where there are often obvious correct picks, as you often end up with decks that look more like constructed decks than draft decks so, its a lot more about having a strategy.
That said Im quite new to cube so im willing to accept I made some bad picks. I simply stuck to the strategy that works for me, not that I'm saying this was a great example of the sort of deck I was looking to do. |

By himself.. maybe not.. but when you have things that interact well with him then yes he should be played. And considering the amount of control you had, I highly doubt it would have died to a mortify. |

I cube draft very often with my friends, I guess one or two times a week, sometimes multiple drafts
P1P2 Ratched Bomb is much better than Aeon Chronicler especially if you want to draft control. It both deals with tokens, creature masses and planeswalkers. mybe in game 1 you need to gamble a bit, but I would usually put it on 3 and wait. In game 2 you always know what to do with it. Even if you draw it too late the effect can still be powerful if you got something else to stall. There is better carddraw than Aeon Chronicler in cube or CA Cards. This card is just too expensive and too slow imo.
P1P4 I vote for Terminus. not so sure what you want with the hammer. In UX sweepers are always fine and UW is more powerful.
P1P5 nothing really in here for you, you can take the land because mana fixing is always the nuts, Worn Powerstone which is really powerful and keeps you in your colors or Profane Command. Why take a bad card if you have options?
I cant understand why Ratched Bomb did wheel, but if I think about it my explanation is that you might be the only control player on the table. It appears that red was open, as some bombs did table. But still you can take the Ratched Bomb, be happy, opt for Terminus first and then abandon it. I got no time anymore to write about the other packs. Cu |
