Trying to go for a budget WereWolf deck that can do well at FNM
Lands (22):
10x Forest
7x Mountain
2x Rootbound Crag
3x Kessig Wolf Run
Creatures (31):
3x Wolfir Avenger
1x Wolfie Silverheart
4x Gatstaf Shepard
3x Wolf Bitten Captive
4x Scorned Villager
2x Daybreak Ranger
4x Reckless Waif
2x Instigator Gang
2x Mayor of Avabruck
2x Mondronen Shaman
4x Immerwolf
Spells (12):
4x Full Moons Rise
4x Moonmist
4x Incinerate
I know I need to take out 5 cards total, what are some good suggestions? Also I need suggestions on a decent sideboard |

I'm not a fan of Wolfir Avenger, not in your deck, not in others, I'd cut those. I'd also cut the mondronen shaman for more Instigator gangs, also, Mayor of avabruck seems your most important card, so you should play 4 if you have them.
I don't see this deck being very good though, a lot of the werewolfs are just bad when they aren't flipped, and flipping them (and keeping them flipped) is not something you can fully control. |

| I could see Wolfir Avenger being insane in this deck just for flipping your turn 2 Mayor. And yes, there is no reason to be playing 4 Gatstaf Shepherd and 2 Mayor. Could also use some Huntmaster. |

| Wolfir Avenger and Mayor should be 4 of in this deck, playing a young wolf turn one, turn two mayor, third turn pass and transform, end of oppon turn Avenger and attack for 8 with a 3/3 sitting back and the ability to drop a garruk or just hold off and make them deal with the 11 power on the board, keeping regen mana open. Fifth turn drop a Silverheart or overun is just game. Most of your creatures are wolfs and werewolfs or humans, so Descendants may not be that bad in this, gives card advantage to a color that usually lacks it. I would liek this to stay monogreen but if you have to add red I would like to see Bonfires and huntmasters. |

Here is the list that I'm running:
Lands:
4x Rootbound Crag
2x Copperline Gorge
8x Mountain
8x Forest
Creatures:
3x Immerwolf
3x Reckless Waif
3x Wolfbitten Captive
3x Mayor of Avabruck
2x Mondronen Shaman
2x Daybreak Ranger
2x Wolfir Avenger
2x Wolfir Silverheart
Planeswalkers:
2x Garruk Relentless
Instants:
4x Brimstone Volley
2x Shock
4x Moonmist
Sorcery:
2x Devil's Play
Enchantments:
4x Full Moon's Rise
Sideboard:
1x Mayor of Avabruck
1x Shock
2x Devil's Play
2x Gastaf Shepard
3x Naturalize
3x Arc Trail
3x Ancient Grudge
The only thoughts I've had for this list were cutting down to 4 one drops (2 each) and cutting 4 mountains for wolf runs. How does this look? |
