Would an Eldrazi Spawn token trigger descendant's path for big eldrazi?

Yes but the 3 big eldrazi's are legendary so be careful.

ETA: Changelings would also work Cool

Does anyone think a greenish ramp deck trying to abuse eldrazi tribal + descendents path would work?

Work? Yes.
Being competitive? No.

1. Worldy Tutor is not legal.
2. Brainstorm is not legal.
3. The setup of this is just too complex to be reliable.

// Deck file for Magic Workstation (http://www.magicworkstation.com)

// Lands
2 [SOM] Copperline Gorge
5 [ROE] Forest (1)
2 [GP] Stomping Ground
3 [ZEN] Verdant Catacombs
4 [5E] Urza's Mine
4 [8E] Urza's Power Plant
3 [9E] Urza's Tower
1 [WWK] Eye of Ugin

// Creatures
4 [TSB] Wall of Roots
1 [ROE] Kozilek, Butcher of Truth
3 [ROE] Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre
4 [ROE] Emrakul, the Aeons Torn
4 [ROE] Nest Invader
4 [M11] Birds of Paradise

// Spells
4 [TSP] Search for Tomorrow
4 [AVR] Descendants' Path
4 [CHK] Through the Breach
4 [ROE] Spawning Breath

No doubt that this is an imperfect build...but the main issue is that even if you hit Descendant's Path on turn 2, you have such a low chance of flipping a useful spell. Traditional Eldrazi + Through the Breach is definitely better.

darkwizard: it looks like you tried to maintain the through the breach/tron style of the deck.

I think to make it work, one needs to play the lesser eldrazi too.
---
Notice Path lets you CAST the spell for free so Emrakul and Company will have full effect!

congregation at dawn, 1-of each big monster you wish, sylvan scrying to fetch mutavault. other targets besides eldrazis and progenitus could be avacyn, angel of hope or terastodon. black-green shell with white splash for the congregation could work. sweepers, removal (path), discard, sakura tribe elder and lotus cobra for the accell (both are snakes), along with sylvan scrying. skeletal changeling is fair blocker and an eldrazi, or angel, or whatever. could need a way to discard in case you draw one of the monsters.

I like where this is going.

I'd go more heavily into white, and just use the white sweepers removal then.

The only thing I want to make sure is that the deck has a solid plan B, enough ramp OR card selection to make the combo consistent.

Does anyone know of modern legal cards that can fetch what we need? (Academy reactor in modern, for example)

And do we want to play like a combo deck, a control deck, or a ramp deck? (Combo = lots of ways to find what we need, control = lots of white control to stall for what we need, ramp = lots of ramping, which these just being a cool secondary way to win)

Fleshing out a GW list.

I'm digging that last white list. I do think there are some areas where it could be improved though. While walls are better for breach decks, I think birds and pilgrims are better for Descendants Path - just as in a pod deck, you want to be able to drop your key spell on t2 so that you can get under mana leak on the play. If you MUST use Sylvan Scrying for the mutavault, let's add a few other utility lands as well. And obviously cut the bad duals for good ones.

ya, the list was an initial thought.

I had the idea of the walls due to amazing synergy- feel free to improve.

I initially had some other utility lands, but cut them in the end.

Congregation at Dawn for either the 3 big Eldrazi Legends or BBE, Finks/Descendant's Path, BBE... so to make it a Naya Control-/Ramp-ish deck...

You can't get 3 big eldrazi with congregation. You get eldrazi, prime time, eldrazi (because you flip, play it, then draw prime time- casting him only sometimes)

The other plan packs a TON of eldrazi and eldrazi tokens in, and hopes to blind flip them. Working on that list now
