Hi

im going to open a new Topic for this in order to get on the front page ^^

Ill start with a picture:
http://imagebin.org/188892
I finally have fixed many of the issues the first Sealed Deck Builder (further refered as SDB) had. (First version:
http://www.magic-league.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=15523)

Im wont post an extensive instruction now cause the program still has a lot of problems that need to be fixed. Im planing on doing a video tutorial next week, and a short explenation trough pictures this afternoon.
This version operates with the MWS/Apprentice file format.
You can paste and open files as you now it from MWS Smile

NOTE:
Operating with images causes trouble in Java by the nature of java.
I m looking to fix this in a later version, tough the current version takes a huge amount of RAM (~200 MB). However this is not only my fault but to some extend just how java is designed (int short: it takes alot more memory than it needs for running, and does not release it as it assumes it maybe will be needed again).

I think the interface is intuitve engough so that anyone should be able to cope with it on his/her won (i know everyone says that about there own programs lol).
There are 3 versions, the sourcecode in a netbeans file, the .jar file and the .exe file.
Fore the first 2nd you need to install java in order to run it (im assuming that you have installed java if you are interested in the source code^^):

//edit: download links are in the 4th post now

Yeah thats about it, i hop you enjoy it Smile

Thanks for reading trough the mess of my words
SteB

PS: have a look at Netdraft Observer (tl,dr: => ~netdraft with pics Very Happy )link

//edit: forgot to add this
Its basically a downloaded instance of the ml site sealed builder to test the robot function

just remembered that it might not hurt to add the following:

The reason i started to develop this program was to provide a more conveniant way of building sealed decks, and the 1st version could only operate with Sealed Decks.
However this version is a fully functinal deckbuilder almost just like the Deck Building part of MWS (without the whole stuff concerning Collection Management and the likes).

The main purpouse goes the following:
1) Go to ML Sealed Deck Builder and just press the submit button
2) C&P your deck and paste it into the SDB
3) build it
4) use either the list view or the robot to build your deck
(NOTE: if you mess up the order of the cards, by adding some to your deck manually the Robot funtction wont work. I recommend you to always check your seccode if it matches with the seccdoe from sdb)

this should work and im actually using this since ~March (i havent build a sealed deck with the ML textview since then Razz )

Im done with another update:

Just a few Bugfixes i noticed during writing the instructions (which is also the explanation why there are still no instructions Rolling Eyes ).
I added a few functions and it runs a lot smoother now Very Happy

//edit: download links are in the 4th post

sorry no exe yet, will come later.

few random notes that are quite helpfull:
*) If you want to hide a card, hold shift while clicking
*) You can set your own Customformats for deckbuilding
*) when the cardbase is open, pressing Tab will jump to the searchtextfield from anywhere in the program and therefore building a deck is much faster then in MWS Razz
*) When you safe a deck, the program orders the deck in the following format:

MB:
lands
creatures
spells
(and each section is ordered by color and alphabet too)

SB:
ordered by color and alphabet

Note: if you have a card in the SB that is also in the MB, MWs will put that card on top of the SB list automatically.

This makes SB a lot easier, since you can actually search for the cards in an ordered list rather, then scrolling randomly and hope to hit the right name.

Instructions coming soon (i am aware that i wrote the exact same words in the first post as well) Confused

Attention:
If you safe a deck with the SDB and then build it on the said, ALWAYS check your Security Code, and if you are not shure if it is correct its better to just C&P the deck like you used to do.
The robot function isnt 100% safe, if you use it i recommend you too check the seccode as well.

Have fun
SteB

//edit: i put a little tutorial togehter now, nothing fancy but i gets the job done. NOTE: this covers a slightly different version without the Sealedbuilder part, so i leaes out a few functions. I'll try to add the other parts in the afternoon.

i have discovered some serious problem with builiding an exe file. So at least for now you have to install the java environement to run this program (thats not a bad thing Very Happy )

Lets hope I can finish at least the simple Instructions this time. (the last time I stumbled over a lot of errors that needed to be fixed)

@pankill:
if your point is that mtgo does the same, i would say yes and no.

you can load your deck into mtgo and build it there, however you need an mtgo account AND you have to download mtgo which takes up to a whole day depending on you inet connection.
And personaly i dont like the red names for cards you dont have in your collection, tough i admit thats only a minor annoyance.

And my program does some things that you wont notice on the first glance, like the above automatic deckbuilding in mentiond, or @MWS sideboarding: The Program will save the deck in an alphabetical order which makes sideboarding much easier.
Plus you can run it in the backround while play and during sideboarding you look trough your spreadout sideboard and make out a plan.

Short and simple: This program is the best free deck builder I have yet tried, awesome job.

It has it all, Statistics, awesome sorting methods and more importantly, it works perfectly and bugfree for me. I always used Nate's Deck Builder for my Sealed Decks (which is also far superior to MWS internal deck builder), but this program replaces it easily.

Thanks for your hard work on this, my friends and I highly appreciate it.

I took some time to update this program to Mondern Master's.

I couldn't seem to get the Robot function to work properly though, any help on that is highly appreciated.

I added a Screenshot:
