2 Dissipate
4 Forbidden Alchemy
3 Geistflame
4 Mana Leak
4 Think Twice
1 Tribute to Hunger

Sorceries
2 Devil's Play
1 Sever the Bloodline
3 Slagstorm

Basic Lands
6 Island
3 Mountain

Lands
4 Blackcleave Cliffs
2 Copperline Gorge
4 Drowned Catacomb
1 Shimmering Grotto
4 Sulfur Falls
Sideboard:

1 Nihil Spellbomb
2 Wurmcoil Engine
1 Consecrated Sphinx
1 Ancient Grudge
2 Dissipate
1 Doom Blade
1 Flashfreeze
1 Geistflame
1 Tribute to Hunger
1 Olivia Voldaren
1 Arc Trail
1 Sever the Bloodline
1 Slagstorm

my original outdated list:
// Lands
4 [SOM] Copperline Gorge
4 [ISD] Sulfur Falls
3 [M11] Rootbound Crag
2 [ISD] Hinterland Harbor
4 [M12] Mountain (2)
1 [NPH] Forest (1)

4 [M12] Island (1)

// Creatures
4 [ISD] Snapcaster Mage

// Spells
4 [ISD] Burning Vengeance
4 [NPH] Beast Within
4 [MBS] Slagstorm
4 [ISD] Think Twice
4 [ISD] Desperate Ravings
3 [ISD] Devil's Play
4 [ISD] Geistflame
4 [M12] Mana Leak
3 [ISD] Dissipate

// Sideboard
SB: 4 [ISD] Ancient Grudge
SB: 3 [ISD] Memory's Journey
SB: 1 [ISD] Dissipate
SB: 3 [ISD] Into the Maw of Hell
SB: 1 [ISD] Rolling Temblor
SB: 3 [M12] Turn to Frog

Just a fun control deck to play, been testing different versions of it. splashing white or black, so far this green variant has performed the best for me. You stall, stall, stall some more. Play a BV or 2 and then win after.

The mana base needs alot of tweaking still, the sideboard cards are largely untested still. Turn to frog is there as an answer to primeval titan and wurmcoil engines.

Needs a massive bomb that (basically) wins the game when cast... Like wurmcoil.

Also, ponder... Because ponder. (personal preference. Not actually needed.)

Do you even think before talking? This deck doesn't need Bombs to win the game... The only problem it has is vs. decks that can handle BV and vs. the various kinds of aggro when the deck doesn't draw good...

nihil spellbomb seems like a big problem for your deck. There must be better cards then turn to frog, incinerate/dismember for example. I like the idea of the deck. Have you tried adding past in flames?

I haven't tried past in flames, it was in the "list on a napkin" version of the deck and got scrapped quickly because it's just not needed, and the cost is prohibitive.

Maindeck Nihil spellbombs are a pain in the ass, but since most of the flashback cards are instants, it's not a total blowout when it happens.

I guess some spellskite's could solve the O-ring/ revoke existence/ Acidic slime-kind-of-problem.
You decide if you need em maindeck or side..

my version of BV uses mulch, ponder, gitaxian probe and gutshot obviusly all this by the hand of past in flames wich is a great card for thedeck. A single copy of wurmcoil isnt bad at all man.

i tried also... in sinergy with mulch rites of flourishing wich is double edge of course but can keep you with enough fuel for a solid play of BV. Good luck with your testing...

saludos!

Can someone post chapins list... Find someone who has premium. I know it has black for discard(hits all threats to your enchant and gy hate). But urb is a very tricky mana base but card draw will fix that.

I went up to maindeck an ancient grudge, and sideboard naturalize today, it was a big improvement. After looking at this list here, I like that he cut the snapcasters down to 2, I never felt bad about drawing snapcasters, but there is so much other good stuff that the deck could be packing and they are the most likely candidates for cuts.

Playing BV is just really satisfying, you pull wins out of nowhere.

something i have been tinkering with is the inclusion of Zombie Infestation. I can pitch my flashback cards for dudes so i'm really not losing any card advantage this way. another card i have been pondering on was Chandra's Pheonix. i can pitch them to Infestation or let them go with Alchemy, and get them back with Geistflame. just a thought though.
