Nobody much liked the Lowly Peon... *sniff sniff*

From last thread:

These forums are always too quiet. How about a competition? The rules are simple:

1. Judge posts the card criteria;

2. People make card(s) based on the criteria;

3. Judge picks a winner; and

4. The winner becomes the judge for the next round.

---

R3: Create a PLANESWALKER. It must be cool (DUH), yet still printable (theoretically, at least). Based on M:TG characters, preferably (although AD&D 'visitors' would seem cool as well). Casting cost and loyalty counters/ability counters should also be relative (i.e. don't make them too uber powerful, people!).

Judging in 24 hours.

Nicol, The Aerial Supremist 2UBB

+0 Target creature gains flying and shroud until end of turn.
-3 Until end of turn, creatures you control get +2+2 and can only be blocked by creatures with flying.
-7 You get an emblem with "Whenever a creature enters the battlefield under an opponents control, its destroyed unless it has flying.

Resubmitting my awesome planeswalker.

Loyalty counters:4

"Take to the airs my brethren! We must fly to achieve glory, and earn our rightful place in the skies."

seems broke. If they dont have an answer next turn they lose, and the + ability isnt even a negative..

maybe +1: Draw/discard or -7 emblem...
that emblem is too strong.

I'd agree, but I'd also say it isn't just broke to all hell.
That said, I agree, +1 is better.

Norin, the Chosen R
Planeswalker - Norin
Damage cannot be redirected to Norin, the Chosen
Whenever Norin the Chosen is attacked, Exile Norin then return Norin to play under its owner's control.
+1 : Norin the Wary becomes a 2/1 creature with, "This creature cannot attack if defending player controls a creature."
-1 : Norin the Wary becomes a 2/1 creature with, "This creature is unblockable"
Loyalty : 1

The idea is that anyone can be a Planeswalker, and that the spark sometimes lays dorment for years. Just because Norin is a coward doesn't mean he can't randomly be that one out of a million people with the spark. I think they call it a spark.

Anyways, just because good 'ol Norin can Planeswalk, doesn't mean he's brave enough to use it. Of course with a couple loyalty counters under his belt, he just might be bold enough to attack.... by Planeswalking past the defenders. Seems reasonable. He's hardly broken, but he seems playable.

Damage cannot be redirected to him, but he can be killed by a Doom Blade, or a Vindicate. He still seems easier to kill than the last Norin anyways. *shrugs*

Serra, Ascended Angel 2WWW

-1 Put a 1/1 Soldier token with vigilance into play under your control

+1 Target creature you control gains +2/+2 and has flying and vigilance until end of turn.

-4 Put 5 4/4 Flying Angel token creatures with vigilance and flying into play under your control.

Hearing her call, the sky was filled with angels.

Loyalty Counters 2

EDIT - Should have skipped through the thread, didnt realize someone had done serra already.

can I submit a card for my own judging? WAHAHAHA!

Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir 2UU
Planeswalker - Teferi
+1: Reshuffle target library
+1: Return target permanent you control to its owner's hand
-2: Discard your hand, then draw that many cards
-6: Return all other permanents to their owner's hand
Loyalty 3

'I will always be a planeswalker. That's just the way things are." - Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir (he was wrong, though - kumagmd, sorceror supreme)

I'm disappointed with the low number of AD&D 'visitors' though.
Raistlin Majere, Master of the Past and Present
3WB
+1: Each player sacrifices a creature, a land, and an enchantment
+1: Each player draws 2 cards and loses 2 life
-3: Each player puts a permanent card onto the battlefield from their hand or graveyard
-8: Each player reshuffles his or her hand and graveyard into his or her library, then draws 3 cards.
Loyalty 4

haha, I'm trippin'. I love the Norin idea! We'll just have to wait and see on the judging =)

Tahngarth, Talruum King | RR
Planeswalker - Tahngarth (Mythic Rare)

+1: Search your library for a card named Didgeridoo and put it onto the battlefield. Then shuffle your library.
-1: Destroy target artifact.
-5: You get an emblem with “Minotaur creatures you control have vigilance and “T: This creature deals damage equal to its power to target creature. That creature deals damage equal to its power to this creature.””

[1]

Soon after Farseer's reign had been terminated, elders of Talruum decided to have another shot.

Btw what do you need flavour text for? Planeswalkers are too serious to use it.
