How about Steady Progress over the Thrummingbird and Ajani over Venser?

The suggestion about Steady Progress and Ajani over Thrummingbird and Venser is probably a joke - you do not want to replace your interactions with a much weaker set of cards.

That said, perhaps you'd like Join the Ranks. It brings two allies out, and is an instant. Depending on the metagame around your playing area, I'd switch out the Umara Raptors for something like Ondu Cleric (for those heavy-aggro metagames) or Unified Will (for the UW control areas). Your proliferate interaction is sort of cute - however, is it worth the 4 slots? I don't know about it, but it's only 4 slots, and 1/1 critters with evasion, at that.

you can play red basically for free and play Akuom Battleslinger, which is the best ally by far. You can also add bolts or whatever if you really want to. With both arid mesa and scalding tarn (which you could make a case for playing already in some numbers) it doesn't hurt you at all to play it.

You have to play some sort of counterspell maindeck. I don't really see a need for preordain as after turn 1 you aren't going to want to case it.

I'd cut thrumming bird too. Too cute, especially when you dont have any ondu Cleric's in the maindeck which are almost the same thing on the curve. Thrumming bird isnt going to increase your swinging power all that much.

I'd cut jace beleren. Doesn't do anything. Just go with mindsculpter if you really need to play something like that. It gets blockers out of the way also.

i agree you may want to main deck a counter maybe spell pierce or negate or something.

for the most part if you really want draw i would go with new jace hands down brainstorm, bounce and look at your top card and move it beats i draw and we both draw helps filter stuff too like if they play discard you can put the creature you are casting next turn on the top and leave answers in your hand or if you need 1 more land.

the thrumming birds are cool 2 for a 1/1 flyer that makes all your other dudes bigger and puts counters on your planes walkers that sounds like it does help speed things up so preference thing i sapose, i would play with proliferate.

I would probably side the paladin and play journey main deck or possibly join the ranks some way to use the evangel's ability on their turn.

colonnade seems unneeded if you put in a way to stop mass removal i would probably put in fetch lands to help thin the deck and draw the spells you need more consistantly.

other than what i wrote good deck idea hope it works out for you Smile sorry it was so long oh and i think preordain is good for your set up it allows you to pick through the top 2 cards to get the one you want or possibly let the deck decide what it gives you and still allows for mana available to cast drawn card.
