None of ur creatures can past the terminate test. RfG 5cmc, dies to any aggro deck in meta right now.

this archetype is unviable in this format where aggro decks kill u turn 6, before you can wrath.

i hardly believe that control is unviable

sphinx of jwar isle passes terminate tests

run 5 spot removal in pte and doom blade; and how am i not DoJ before turn 6?

im thinking perhaps running everflowing chalice to speed it up??

-2 Platinum Angel
-1 Sphinx of Lost Truths
-3 Mysteries of the Deep
-3 Dispel
-3 Something

+4 Esper Charm
+2 Negate
+2 Oblivion Ring
+4 Everflowing Chalice

Something like that I think would be better.

esper charm is the only reason I would play these three colors in the same deck.

Oblivion Ring seems good as well.

you absolutely must play esper charm. if you're in those colors, it is by far the best card drawer in the forma, is better than mysteries of the deep, and in corner cases the discard and disenchant are randomly useful.

Perhaps the most important piece of tech in the original solar flare lists were the signets. Everflowing Chalice probably needs to be in there. If you do go this route, i see no reason to run both jaces, just run 3 of the good one.

8 fetchlands may be too many, but thats something that you'll only be sure of after testing.

Dispel is bad. If you need to, play spell pierce or duress over it, they'll be soooo much better for you. Flashfreeze may also become less useful in the post WWK environment, you'll have to wait and see.

I would also consider sizing down and reshaping your creatures slot. 14 is a lot of beef for a control deck, and platinum angel is not want you want to be playing, it gets killed far too easily. If you need a big bad angel that shuts down the game, play iona.

Iona seems like the only reason to play some sort of reanimate. It's a good one though.

Instead of that colorless signet thing, why not just go with the borderposts? Granted not nearly as good at acceling but they fix an opening hand much better than the colorless one. I'm just throwing that out there.

I disagree with this. The ability to go turn 2 chalice, turn 3 day of judgement/mind sculptor/persecutor, turn 4 Baneslayer is probably the most powerful sequence of plays this sort of deck can hope to achieve. Borderposts will not help achieve this line of play, and i don't think the mana requirements are so extreme that you need to include the borderposts.

Keep at it, control is picking up a lot of new tools this set, now is the time to capitalize.
